Changes

  • Frogs are now considered hostile to players, so you can initiate combat without using Force Attack

  • Updated strings.pot to include new strings for translations

  • Unsupported font characters in low texture mode now appear as a ‘?’

 

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed animation bug when players fall asleep

  • Fixed bug where MooseGoose Egg hatching fails to complete if a player is not nearby

  • Fixed bug with mouse controls in the Character Select screen

  • Fixed character rendering after clothing has been traded away

Another bug I found lately. it is about the durability of morning star. If you hold morning star for some certain time, its durability decreases.. Pretty much like a torch.

 

But if you quickly equip and unequip it let us say switch with a hambat (or axe for example) and switch hambat and morning star consecutively, the durability of the morning star becomes much lesser than the actual duration. It loses 2 to 1 durability every time you switch back to morning star from hambat.

 

I am sure this bug also happens if u simply equip and unequip morning star too.

Korean chat is still not working.

 

Korean keyboard has especailly one more key for changing Korean to English (or English to Korean).

If I press that key and type korean letters in game, something about korean character shows in left-top of game screen.

This key is the only key "I know" that change korean to english (or English to Korean).

Sorry for my bad english.

 

I changed "y" key to another key, but it was not working.

I tried making a seperate post about this on the general discussion but cant since the moderator has not approve it. im having this problem after downloading the game. ive tried verifying cache. uninstalling and re-installing. priorities updates immediately but no updates seem to be available as far as i see on steam. i want to play this game with my girl and hope to solve this problem soon since ive got a week to play with her and dont  want to waste the time. anyone please help if you can.

Hey @AshLionsPride, welcome to the forums. With the game open, press Backspace and confirm whether or not Rev. 161781. If it is and you're still getting the Version out of date pop-up, can you attach the log.txt file found under Documents/Klei/DoNotStarveTogether? That may help diagnose what's happening.

I am sure this bug also happens if u simply equip and unequip morning star too.

 

This also happens with the torch. I don't think it's a bug though.

 

I removed the code that causes this, and with quick switching the torch didn't lose durability at all.

Because I didn't give the fueled component enough time to update.

Problem is if you unequip  ur morning star 10 times, the actual durability of ur morning star will be 90% instead of 100% so 10% durability loss which is a waste of durability while switching.. Morning star loses durability while u are holding so u gotta switch it back and forth to save its durability. For example while fighting to a boss in spring or fighting to a simple mob like pig you dont wanna hold it while kiting but this time it loses more durability if you switch it back and forth. It looks kind of broken. I don't know if it is intended but the problem seems unfair to me. Especially for a weapon which is the best in the game for spring when you got rain and wet mobs around. This is the best weapon to fight merms in any season and i like to use it but that durability loss is bad.

I thought that this loss of durability was a fix for exploit where you could survive the night by equipping+unequipping the torch quickly and it won't lose any durability at all.

the problem seems unfair to me

 

 

How much do you quick switch it during a pig fight? I would equip it once, deal with the pig quick, then unequip it.

 

I never saw people complaining about the morning star.

The fuel it has allows the star to last 360 seconds (day being 480).

Holding it between some fight and fight may prove more useful that quick switching.

 

I would say to make lots of morning stars if you intend to quick switch, but goats usually are scarce, and they don't always drop a horn.

 

 

The only way I can see this getting fixed is making the morning star have a light you can toggle, like the lantern.

Doesn't the thing have a switch anyway?

 

If the star is on, then it works like it is now, it drains on equip (you can't abuse the light).

If the star is off, then the on equip drain isn't there (fuel still runs out, second by second).

 

This would greatly extend the morning star durability for fighting, if you don't care about the light.

If you quick switch fast enough, one hit would probably consume one second, giving the morning star 360 uses.

 

The spear has 150, the dark sword has 100.

 

I don't know if I want the morning star with that many uses.

Then again, you can't mass produce horns, and ham bat / dark sword is better on dry targets.

 

Maybe when it's off, the star instead of consuming over time, consumes 2 fuel on attack, giving it 180 uses whenever you want?
