Symbolism: Any character can complete Adventure mode, and DST takes place after DS. Adventure mode is essential to the lore, so in essence, ANY character could be sat on that throne. This also explains why random chooses any character. Maybe the throne is different... maybe they become "Cloak"ed in shadow... Charlie is human. I rest my case.
