MenaAthena Posted September 5, 2015 Share Posted September 5, 2015 Oh boy, where do I start...Well, welcome to the forums first of all. I hope you enjoy your stay, however long it may be. For influential people there is always JoeW, one of the most well known mods and the one responsible for giving out custom member titles. All the mods here are pretty great, and even though they don't talk all that much they're very helpful and keep the forums in shape. There's not many of the old members left; Lord_Battal, DwerBomb, Percival, Willette (who has one of the oldest art threads that's over 800 pages long and is still going to this day) and a few others have been around since the beginning and still pop up every now and then with varying degrees of activity. Sometimes the older members like to gripe about how the forums were better back in the olden days, but we've just kinda gotten used to it by now. I haven't been to many other forums, but me and many others agree that this is one of the friendliest places on the internet. Not to say there isn't a bad apple every now and then, however most people here are friendly and helpful, and, again, the mods are pretty great. As for big events, people are pretty hyped up about a new expansion for Don't Starve called Shipwrecked, Don't Starve Together is still in development with frequent updates and an expansion titled Through the Ages on the way, along with implementing caves adding new features and items and balancing out characters and such Klei has a lot on their plate atm.There's also a little community project going on here in the Off-Topic section for an oldschool, pixelated, turn-based RPG loosely based on the forums, the internet, and dreams. There's a bit of a lull in activity atm, but as soon as I get over being sick I plan to do more artsy stuff to help out. We're always accepting new help in any way we can get it, so you can help out if you're interested.I should probably introduce myself; My username is MenaAthena, as you can see.
