VecinoKawai Posted September 3, 2015 Share Posted September 3, 2015 Bug Submission: Category: Client Crash Issue Title: Error during Initialization problem Issue Description: when i click the launcher for dont starve and dont starve together beta i get the game screen but i also get a small error box that reads "Error during initialization" which immediately closes my game. It went wrong somewhere in there. If you are using mods, then you may have to check their compatibility, or disable a few It may have something to do with your screen resolution. NoobModder Posted September 3, 2015 Share Posted September 3, 2015 If you have the game for steam: Go to library, right click on don't starve together/dont starve, then click delete local content.You can then redownload the game by clicking play, and it should work! Lemodile Posted September 4, 2015 Share Posted September 4, 2015 [00:00:00]: OnLoadPermissionList: APP:Klei/DoNotStarveTogether/save/blocklist.txt (Failure) This is going to be a stab in the dark, but, this folder by default is in your documents folder. Check and see if you have a Klei folder there (and subsequently Klei\DoNotStarveTogether\save\blocklist.txt and the other files with issues). Given that the error mentions "permissions", it's also possible that the program simply lacks administrative rights to manipulate those files. I have no idea why that should be an issue but it's what first comes to mind when reading this. Just to be sure you could try to right click your shortcut (on your desktop) , head to properties \ compatibility and tick the Run as Administrator box. Test it out. If it does work, hurray, if it doesn't, don't forget to go back there and untick the box. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Tell them why the crash is happening before you give them the files.They should be able to fix it, and if not, I don't know what to tell you.Good luck mate!
