ZombieTG
Is there anyway i can add more protection to armour? Is there some sort of code i can add to my custom armour to make it stronger than it is? I would think so, but I'm not a code expert so i need someone to let me know if there's different ways of adding extra protection instead of looking at the other armor luas to use their codes
DarkXero
@ZombieTG:What do you mean?inst:AddComponent("armor")inst.components.armor:InitCondition("health", "absorption_percentage")So you put 500 for health and 0.8 for absorption percentage, or whatever numbers you mean. ZombieTG
I didn't realise i could change those, i was just using other armor as a replacement for numbers. But the "health" part of it, does that determine how much health is taken when being hit ? Because i tried changing it from many different number values it still took about 18 damage everytime i got hit from a spider But changing "health" to 200 makes me basically invcincible until the armour gets broken of course All i need to know is how to give it more protection to the damage that is taken I know different monsters do their own different damage, but I'm guessing armour does give you some protection obviously so i just want to know what part of the code decides how much health is taken
DarkXero
@ZombieTG:"health" is how much damage the armor will absorb before breaking."absorption_percentage" is the percentage of the damage that will get absorbed by the armor. Example:Armor with 200 health, 0.5 absorption.Damage 100 goes to Wilson with armor.50 damage gets absorbed by armor, 50 damage gets inflicted on Wilson's health.Armor has now 150 health. So for more protection, up the 0.5 to 0.8 or 0.9.1 will make the armor absorb all the damage. Edited August 5, 2015 by DarkXero
