Save wolly!

Wolly should become a secondary bird king thing where instead of meat he takes veggies, and gives gems instead of gold. If no gems are gained, considering 5 gold from pig king would be 1 gem in wolly's eyes, he does not leave, and instead gives feathers to the amount of gold pig king would give, (1-4), and that worth goes toward the next trade. For example, giving him a carrot, worth 3, would net you 3 crimson feathers, and if you traded him that again, you'd get 1 gem, and another feather. The odds for gems are 49% red, 49% blue, and the last 1% split between the rest of the gems. If gems are given, he flies away for 3 * amount of gems given is the amount of days he flies away for. If no gems are given yet, he does not fly away.

In Shipwrecked he should have an entire new use, which is for Kleipy (The ship has sailed... literally...) to decide.

But wait, Wolly can't give feathers and keep count. Do the math, it's quite exploitable the way you explained it. Also I'd like wolly to get tired of a veggie if given over and over again without a change, either by refusing at some point or by ceasing to give gems rather than feathers.

Oh, good! Might want to remove all the clues tho, maybe make him a little more cooperative too and accept more than just trinkets and meat. Maybe also make some things:

 

1 red gem > 1 blue gem

1 blue gem > 1 red gem

1 purple gem > 1 red gem, 1 blue gem

1 ruins type gem > ? Thulecite

1 wall item > components for wall item

1 Thulecite > one random item in the game, anything is possible from grass to a Thulecite Suit

1 pinecone > 1 Birchnut

1 Birchnut > 1 Pinecone

 

I think that would be cool! Be sure to remove the puzzle part tho
