jcsa141 Posted July 30, 2015 Share Posted July 30, 2015 Bug Submission: Category: General Issue Title: "Version out of date" Issue Description: I just downloaded and installed the game. When I open it and click 'play', the 'logging in' popup box appears for a few seconds, and then it's replaced with a message: "Version out of date / Your game looks like it's on an old version. We recommend that you update to the latest version." I only just downloaded it! How can it be an old version? Is there some way to force the game to check for updates? My steam settings say that should be happening automatically anyway. If I click "play anyway", then "offline" appears in red at the top right of the screen and I can't search for games to join. jcsa141 Posted July 31, 2015 Author Share Posted July 31, 2015 (This is my bug report) I contacted Klei support and I just got a reply. They told me to "verify the integrity of the game cache", which I did by following these instructions: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335 That didn't make a difference so I've replied with my log file as they requested.
