Crafting menus are painful to use, still feel unpolished

This issue still needs to be addressed, for both versions of the game (well, duh, it has nothing to do with multiplayer).

In Don't Starve, it appears that you still can't even scroll lists with your mousewheel*, which is especially primitive. It's quite unbelievable that not only it wasn't added from the get go, but it's still missing after all this time.

*: At least it doesn't work for me. I tried in Don't Starve Together and it does work for me there. Looking into it, I found out that it was added after one of the updates.

There's no reason for this 'feature' to be excluded from the singleplayer version (then again, this even applies to less basic things such as thermal stone durability and the Whirly Fan). Is there at least a mod or can one be made that fixes this, since I'm guessing an update won't come anytime soon? I seem to remember there used to be a mod that added scrollwheel support to the crafting list for a very old version of the game.

There are other suggestions in the linked thread for improving the clunky UI. Scrollwheel support is the most basic thing, though.
