Can we PLEASE do something about the frogs?

Recommended Posts

Things are just ridiculous right now. Do you want to hear a short, exciting story? I had a small hunting party of pigs which I intended to help me fight some beefalloes. Just before engaging them I found koalefant tracks which I wanted to complete because it just started raining (You see where this is going right)

2 minutes later I have two full stacks of meat, lots of monster meat, 2 beefallo horns, half a dozen hounds teeth and a crapton of frog's legs (mostly on the ground) with about twenty or so of the green buggers on screen still chacing stuff and ruthlessly killing everything in sight.

Can they be made to be more "annoying vermin" and less "sociopathic death machines from the deepest pits of hell"?

I know that it's managable if you spend a day or two and a couple stacks of grass making traps and stuff but I'm pretty sure that a small change can make them much more bearable. Maybe reduce the amount of frogs on screen or have them despawn after a while?

Perhaps something relating to the phenominon of Exploding Toads?

Murder of Crows - Alchemy Engine Tier Weapon.

4x Crows, 4x Frog's Legs, 20x Twigs

A large twig and wicker cage full of crows. Occupies a whole inventory slot and has only one useage per instance. Has to be regularly fed to keep it alive.

When opened, four crows will fly out and swoop down to attack any frogs in the area, who will then explode, leaving a frog's leg.

Each crow fly off after attacking three frogs or if there are no frogs left.

Perhaps they could also go after Slurtles?

I agree in some things,I like frogs as a challenge but, more than a challenge they are a bless, they came from the sky to kill every living creature and helps me with the recollection of almost any type of items cleaning the way.

My suggestion would be a less aggressive frogs that can be stay next to neutral animals without fight with them, maybe the frogs could be aggressive during rain only instead of stay in a permanent mating season

I agree frogs can be extremely boring and dangerous at the same time but the "frog-rain" is just a blessing for me. Think about all the Froggle Bunwhich you can do with just few minutes of rain ?! Surely they are not the most convenient recipe BUT 1 veg + 1 frog leg and then sticks... not much i say !

If you are careful enough frogs can be super useful and the fact that they make you drop items is just a small detail.
