I'm quite new to these forums, but I am very active on the Terraria Forums, so used to forum life. Today I'd like to request a redskin mod. Someone will still need to use a mod to have alternate DS outfits which is actually no different that setting the original look. Just needs set up the same way and set via a postinit. But its already possible to mod your own skin system by doing what you would do for regular DS, and then adding some networking to make sure the visual appearance is syncd. -edit- Klei said this on the stream when they showed off the army skin. You wont be able to change/edit/create skins using the 'to be created' skin feature. But that doesnt stop anyone from making their own skin system. Its actually quite trivial. WalrusMan Posted March 3, 2015 Share Posted March 3, 2015 Instead of making a skin, you could always just mod in a whole new character with one of the original character's as a base. So, it would technically be a new character, but it does the same exact thing as one of the other characters but looks different. You could actually make some really interesting and unique variations of the Don't Starve characters...Great, now I feel like doing that myself.
