CozyComic
Alright so long story short I got don't starve on the ps4 and on my angry vista machine. On the ps4 version I survived my first winter kind of proud of that. Though once I managed to get my early spring provisions back under control; I was cut short by a massive pack of wolves. Is there a way to handle that early spring wolf pack just coming out of winter? Also where the dearclops was during winter ;I found a Goose/Moose in it's place just as big and scary though. Thank you for your time
Michi01
Is there a way to handle that early spring wolf pack just coming out of winter? There is no special hound attack after winter, I guess now you'll alway get so big hound waves. And yes, the gmoose is indeed spoopy.
CozyComic
Yeah it was day 36 I think so it was my first massive hound wave. What I'm looking into now is setting up my main camp by beefalo herds so when a wave comes through I can kite them into the herd. I also found that wolves are in the wastelands so I can hunt them for teeth to make teeth traps. Thats the idea anyways.

The Deerclops sort of comes and goes - you might not see him for several winters as he roams around and might not come near your base.

AlternateMew
Goosemoose is no threat if you keep her alive and don't get underfoot like a cat. Quite the contrary; you can use her for defense. Let her lay her egg, make sure you have a stockpile of food in the fridge or a food supply elsewhere, and let the egg hatch. When hounds come, let one bite a chick. Mommy will get pissed and take care of your hound problem, even if she needs to fly over to do it.

"This sounded like a big meanie!" The Deerclops will also spawn two screens away and will move towards your general direction so you can't miss it because of him "wandering off". It's possible. It happened to me. Was out exploring when I had the first signs of Deerclops (the one where you hear things as the player, but your character doesn't comment on it yet). Then the sounds just stopped. I ran around a whole day before finding he aggroed on a pig village and totally forgot about poor, lonely me who needed a Deerclops eye so bad.
