XirmiX
So far we have 5 kinds of walls: Hay walls are the simplest to make and can be used to trap animals like koalefants in case you don't think that camping near beefalo is a good idea or if you can't find beefalo and need to set up a base somewhere urgently. Stone walls are ones that could be used to claim your territory and by mining tons of rocks at mid-game could get you some nice walls around your base for a sort of protection, or the walls could be used to make that fort with tooth traps so when hounds come, the red ones don't burn the walls, they would definitely trigger the traps and die and you would have an efficient and easy way of farming hounds and avoiding hounds during hound attacks. And honestly, those two are the only ones I use and have needed to use in any way. Thulecite walls and Moonrock walls are hard to acquire and ergo if you can only make a few in a large period of time, you will have no reason to put any effort in getting them, especially if you use them for protection. Everything that these walls can give are basically kicked out due to stone walls, which are easier to get in numbers and cannot be burnt just like the other two with the only difference that Thulecite and Moonrock walls are stronger, but if you can't get a lot of them, they lose the reason for them to be of any use completely. Furthermore, if in mid-game you find a place with a lot of rocks and stones, you will have no need for Wooden walls, because not only are they harder to acquire due to needing tons of logs and grass, but also give less protection and can be burnt just like hay walls. So what is the point of three out of five walls in the game? They don't do you any good in any way, they are rather just a waste of resources and will get in your way really. There is a lot of stuff that needs to be rebalanced and I don't think that even Among the Ages will bring us that. This might sound rude, but it's always about new content and never about modifying the existing stuff. I am barely any good at programming myself, however if something is in the game, it needs to have a good use. I might be over-exaggerating, so if you have any suggestions to what the other three kinds of walls could be used for, please tell me. Oh, and another thing: some mobs in the game attack walls for no reason what so ever. It would make more sense if you trap some mob and they try to get out while they're aggroed on you. And yes, I'm talking about beefalo in mating season also not to attack walls unless they're trapped while whatever they're aggroed on is on the other side. GalloViking
Walls are pretty. That's enough for me.

That makes the only sensible wall the hay one, since it's cheap and enough to pen creatures or create panic tunnels. Honestly, nobody even uses walls for defenses of any kind. If we have walls, then they would be required for placing roofs on them to get some protection from the elements (rain, heat, cold).
AlphaP
I've heard that stone walls can burn, so they can't work with red hounds.
Mobbstar
I've heard that stone walls can burn, so they can't work with red hounds. That does not make sense. "Is rock, what you not get?" Stone walls do not burn, my friend. I've seen stone irl before and it does not burn.

seronis
however if something is in the game, it needs to have a good use. 100% agreed. But "Good Use" applies to something aesthetic like flowerpots and walls.
