T4T3RGR3NAD3R
When you mouse over a player, it says their username. When you examine a player, it says their username. It seems a little redundant to have them do the same thing, doesn't it? I feel that when you examine a player, it should say the character name. This would help new players learn the names of the characters, and it would still let people see usernames. Every skeleton tells a story. I love that. I love walking through a wilderness server and examining all the skeletons, making up stories based on the information I gather. But, there is a piece missing from the puzzles that are created. Characters. I would like it if there was a little icon of what character any people involved were playing as next to their names in the examination quote. Thoughts? Auth
it's kind of useless as you can just see all the names from the user select.
Zillvr
On the first part, personally I prefer it that way it is now. Having examine print out the name of the player you are examining would let that player know that you are examining them. The character select screen would be enough for new players to learn the different characters. One way to help determine what character the player used when he/she died is for DST to start using the character skulls instead of generic skeletons. Though that wouldn't display what character killed them, if they were killed by another player. So the icon thing may be better. Up to Klei, I guess.
