When I go to the enable mod page, the mod isn't out of date nor does it crash. It looks like a normal, playable mod. When I click the "I understand" button however, the game closes itself and I'm left unable to test my mod before I do the artwork.edit: It lets me click disable mods no problem.edit edit: It let me enable a mod I've had already (where's chester). Destiny8Chicken Posted January 30, 2015 Share Posted January 30, 2015 I've got the same problem, I've spent over 4 hours trying to fix it. I know I'm doing something really stupid but I just don't know what it is. I tried changing the letters to something else, redoing the whole thing. My character now uses the existing medic mod as I was worried what I was using was out of date but it still just breaks. I could also really use some help if anyone has any time and modding knowledge. I really want to be able to make mods; someone please help... You will need at least some sort of temporary art files as the game can't conjure one for you. Try using one of the games own art files by changing the path to it. It's currently the art my friend has done for hers. the Fester.xml error JUST came up for me today as I tested it again. I've checked through my files, and there is nothing named fester anymore, only my mod's name which is "blanche"EDIT: I THINK I FOUND THE ISSUE! Just to say all I've actually done is take a mod which works (and it does work I checked) and changed every "medic" in the code to "kid" but this is what breaks it if that helps you at all. I feel like it may be the .bin file in the anim zip folder as changing the name caused an error message or 2 but I have no way to check, please message me back if this additional information helps you at all or, if not, what I could give you to help or, if neither, then thanks for trying to help I really appreciate it (I really want to make a mod but every time I try I encounter a problem and don't get it done; I WANT DON'T STARVE TO BE DIFFERENT; I REALLY WANT TO MAKE MY OWN CHARACTER; PLEASE HELP) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But what I can tell you about the code, you do need to make sure that you change the reference to those files correctly. For example, if you changed "some_prefab.zip" to "new_prefab.zip" you need to correctly change some_prefab to new_prefab wherever it's being used in your code.
