As far as I've seen, the only actual Armor-Weapon Set is the Ruins Set

  • Thulecite Armor
  • Thulecite Crown
  • Thulecite Club

There is another "set" that I would like to call the Nightmare Set

  • Nightmare Armor
  • NIghtmare Sword

...but it is missing a head piece though... a nightmare... headband? bandanna? ... circlet maybe?

Also, there's what I call the Hippie Set

  • Garland
  • Grass Armor
  • Spear

And the Ruffian Set

  • Football Hat
  • Log Suit
  • Ham Bat

The Creepy-Crawly/Creature Set

  • Slurtle Helmet
  • Snurtle Shell Armor
  • Tentacle Spike

...

Now...

I would like to discuss the implications of having things such as armor-weapon sets... would you agree to make this a thing and add more armor and stuff to achieve this for variety?

Also, for those armor/weapons not mentioned, what would you pair them up with (items in game already or something you want to suggest to be in the game)

O___O

Should we make this a thing?

I want something to complement the Scale Armor in RoG but can't think of any at the moment... O___O

I am hungry for thoughts... your thoughts... also, because my boss is out for the day and I have nothing to do... can't play don't starve here though, or any games for that matter... ;__;

I think the hippie set is suppose to be the flower set. The set consists of garland, floral shirt and pretty parasol. Though dealing marginally compare to the might spear, it does pack a sissy punch.

Edit: more fun sets

Hungry hungry hippo set:slurper, belt of hunger/hibernation vest, and ham bat( new slurper weapons?).

Long pig skin: scalemail(3pig skins),ham bat,helmet.

Crystal maiden:icecube, chill amulet, ice staff

@Flamethrower,

Well you can highlight a post by that person and click "@mention

or type for example:

@[ member=Flamethrower], (remove the space between "[" and the word "member" and type the name of that someone you want to mention:

@[ member=Asparagus]

:3 hahaha

I still think telling them to quote your post and look at that may be the best way to teach someone how to spoiler/mention/whatever

As far as the original topic goes though, I kinda want to have uses for some of my more useless items before they go around making new weapons and armor I won't ever use. I mean that would be cool and all, but rebalancing ruins gear/giving the nightmare torch an actual use/etc... I just want to have a reason to actually use most of the stuff in my crafting menu.

For example, I hadn't ever made an advanced farm before don't starve together came out, but now that rocks are plentiful, I only make advanced farms. What could they do to other items that require nonrenewables/are just plain useless to make them more useful?

Though more weapon/armor sets are always nice. Maybe we could make chainmail, a coif, and something weird out of mucus for the ewecus set?

@tetrified,

Actually the Night light has a use: because there's a lot of nightmare fuel lying around later on in the ruins, you can set a lot of Night lights around the ruins once you've cleared up an area (because Clockwork rooks just spoil everything there) and fuel it with nightmare fuel from the nightmare creatures that die after Nightmare phase ends. And since you need Shadow manipulator to make one of them, I'd say it's pretty legit for its use.

Or you could just light them with a fire staff...

Only costing 2 nightmarefuel (and a spear and redgem), I'd say it's more efficient...

though sometimes it might crash the game O__O

You can light the Night light with fire staff?! Wut?! Yeah, no wonder it can crash the game.

Yeah, you can even light fire pits and thermo... thermo-... cold fire pits too... saves a lot of fuel... but at the cost of occasionally crashing the game...

no... wait... it only crashes when used on the Night Light... the fire pits (cold and hot) are safe....

I used them (back in RoG) as street lamps :3

I wish the fire staff works in DST, apparently the devs patched it so it cannot ignite fire source anymore.

I was shocked when I tried to light some gunpowder from a distance using the staff and I instead walked toward it and the beefalo(es? ...in heat)
