Are herd mechanics faulty or is it just me?

I brought some beefalo to a penned in area about ten screen-lengths away from where I found them, then I went back and killed the rest of the herd. The imprisoned beefalo still try to travel home, and when they mate, their babies are spawned in the original location that the herd was. No matter how many times I kill the babies they just keep spawning in the original location.

The same problem occurs with volt goats. I teleported a goat to a pen and I killed all of the goats in the original location, but the goat still wants to go home and when more goats are spawned, they are spawned in the original location.

Rock lobster herd mechanics seem off as well. I brought my rock lobsters right across the map, probably 40+ screen-lengths, yet they still want to go back home, and they don't appear to create a spawn-point in the new location so no new lobsters are born in the new location; I haven't checked, but I suspect they are mating, but the babies are probably being spawned in the original location like how the beefalo and goats are.

Mods that I use all purport to affect the HUD only: Always on Status, Display Food Values, and Minimap HUD. I'm playing in RoG which is why I posted the topic here.

Does anyone else have any problem with herds, or is it a unique problem of mine caused possibly by the mods that I use?

@Arcita

You should post this here.

I posted the thread in this subforum to determine the source of the problem. It could be the case that I am simply doing something wrong or that the third-party mods that I have installed are corrupting something; in those instances, I would just be wasting the developers' time by submitting it as a bug because I was too stupid and lazy to spend a little bit of time troubleshooting before running to the developers. I do appreciate that you are concerned about the forum's organization though. I took a look through your history and you're doing a fantastic job redirecting people to more relevant subforums.
