Scale Armor buff

I'm just going to throw this out there. A Scalemail is always in low supply, protects 10% less than a log suit, and the fire damage resistance against a dragonfly is negligible by kiting it. It doesn't even protect against it's fire ring attack, which is pure fire! The durability may be high, but that last bit bothers me a little. Is it too much to ask that it gains full resistance to that fire ring attack and maybe block overheating in the summer at the cost of durability? I'd honestly love a good reason to use it over a logsuit. I don't even make a scaled chest, just because the 3 spaces and heatproof benefit doesn't seem all that interesting to me.
