AlaminerXD
I belive Webber should be able to survive in pitch black because he is a monster.
Tayburro
Webber is already one of the best characters in the game, no buffs needed.

Flopjack
I think Webber's main problem is you require a situation where spiders and something are fighting to generate yourself resources, which I feel isn't in the spirit of the game. You need this to realistically get enough materials to make more dens. Have you every tried plopping down your den around areas that aren't near other spiders or something to fight? It's really difficult to get the required resources. You'd have to run around and slay your own kind, which is unintuitive. This basically means you have to setup in very specific places to do what Webber does. I think some combination of the following should changed: - Webber can charm spiders without an offering - Webber can bring spiders out of their den (to charm/defend) - Spiders properly aggro on things that comes near - Webber can make dens cheaper (should require things you can craft or otherwise gets without killing spiders/dens) I'd so so far as to make a control panel so you can have spider formations and behaviors. Speaking of which, we need a button that puts Abigail on aggressive/defensive/passive modes.

This basically means you have to setup in very specific places to do what Webber does. The most efficient way to kill spiders, regardless of which character you are, is to use traps. In Webber's case, just put a bunch of traps around the den and check it every day or two. As long as you placed your den close enough for the spider to spawn, your traps should fill up on a regular basis. You can also use Chester to spawn spiders for charming or trapping. I do agree spiders should hop out of their den to check out Webber when he walks on their webs, though of course they shouldn't aggro unless he provokes them. Welwordion
Would be nice if they greeted him happily cuddling to his legs like cats XDSay Jatrick whats your main reason to die as webber?I mean he can survive like pretty much any other character his only early weakness is his low max sanity and that can be combated with mushrooms or cactus flesh if you have not enough silk for top hats, ofc this means he prefers some locations but is it not normal to settle near resource hubs? As for having to kill your own kind... you also have to kills pigs even though on other occasions you let them help you.btw spiders wander in the evening let them spread a little kill far away spiders run when they accumulate, its a good way to hunt as webber. However if you insist on not killing your spideys use silk from your beard to upgrade the dens early to tier 3 you soon will have a spider queen that builds a new den.
