Hey, I want to update my standalone Don't Starve on updater 22 but my steam key won't work for it.  What do I do?

Ya know, the standalone updater for don't starve.  First there was 20 than it updated the updater to 21 than 22.

 

I'm not really sure how to explain it.

So your on updater 22 now and want to update your game but you need to put in your key again? Did this happen when you updated the updater from 20?

You shouldn't need to enter an activation key to run the Standalone updater (and what you didn't explain earlier is you went into your directory, went into your Updater folder and opened the highest number you had to run updater.exe.)

 

 

The only time you need to enter a key again after the first purchase is the one time you update to Reign of Giants from non-Reign of giants and you enter that RoG key, or if you are installing a Standalone after a Steam purchase (or vice versa.) You don't update a Steam Key in Standalone without a few other steps if so.

110570 is the last version you should need to update to BTW.
