lynlynlora
It's autumn, (obviously) Bearger has spawned. I was away from home, so I figured I'd let him spawn and then jump through a conveniently nearby wormhole as it is still very early in this game and I am not equipped to kill him. But on the other side of the wormhole, there he is! which is bad, since this happens to be the wormhole right by my home base. so I go back through, and sure enough, he comes with me. Is this normal? I'm pretty sure I've used wormholes to flee giants before... anyone else seen this?
spencer320
I have. If he's aggro'd on you consider him to be like a pig buddy! He'll follow you anywhere. Best best is to get him to aggro on something else like pigs THEN it will be safe to go thru a wormhole. When it happened to me, he didn't show up on the other side until I got about a screen away. By that time I was in a chest getting armor and a tentacle spike to try to deal with him.... Too late, he did his stomp attack just about in the middle of my base and leveled everything, then quickly turned South and found my beehives. So I stood there in shock for a few seconds and decided I needed his fur pelt. I got an even bigger surprise when he rolled over in his death animation. Good thing for touchstones! I managed to keep him away from my base, and I lured him to a tentacle and reeds trap in the swamp, which worked, but he was too deep in the tentacles when he died and now I can't get to the pelt. On the bright side, I now have a lifetime supply of tentacle spikes.
spencer320
I did that before too. My Bearger died on the outside edge. I had a full inventory of spikes and a wasted resurrection stone when I got to greedy. I tried to get all the loot before night came, as it was closing in fast. I'd grab 2 pieces of meat then run and wait... I only had 3 left so figured I'd get them all then get back to my fire. I was, again, in shock (lol) when I got stun-locked and pummeled on by tentacles as night fell. I last a while with a full armor and helmet so I'm not sure who got the last swipe in... the tentacle or Charlie!
the truthseeker
*sigh* yep. if far enough away, he may not jump through and remain "waiting" as per the multi screen asset stasis, but if right on your heels, he will follow as close as Chester will! XirmiX
Well, this should be changed; I mean it's game logic; how can a big, fat bear-badger creature like him fit through that wormhole?! He's lucky to get his head in that thing!

spencer320
To be realistic... Who doesn't carry an Alchemy Engine is their back pocket when they get grabbed by Shadow Hands and brought to a strange world where everything is trying to kill you. Am I right or am I right people? Yes, оnce he's locked on you in follow mode, he'll teleport every time he's outside the loading range. If you open console, you'll see message when he teleports.Same issue with dragonfly. InaneDugong
It will stop chasing you if you stand next to the Pylons by the Pig King. Also, it's afraid of Nightmare Light, so invest in one of those asap during Beager season.

Malk
For the engine thing it could be blueprints or a tiny version of it that grows into it...On that topic I think filling your pockets AND your backpack with logs should slow you right? Well Wilson disagrees
