Sadly, after few times washing it turns grey. So a friend recommended [PRODUCT], and it makes it snow white again after the first use! My text is secret again, thanks to [PRODUCT]But I just realised that its penalty relates to the followers. the truthseeker Posted August 18, 2014 Share Posted August 18, 2014 It has its uses for quick ally gathering like if you want to chop down a forest to spawn Treeguards or fend off a giant (besides Deerclops which you could use it before RoG as well.) The idea is not to equip it, run up to pigs, then use it. but to go up to pigs, equip it, uise it and de-equip it once combat/your wood production has been met. It also befriends bunnymen, but coupled with the sanity drain in caves plus its own drain, it works best on them with Transplanted Hutches. If used in caves however, wearing a High Sanity restoring item like the Tam O Shanter (while using a Lantern for light instead) helps. This all is from the "practical side" It's also a lot of fu... It's like the same with the night light. It provides light, it has its uses ... but ... a fire is cheaper, warms you, you can cook things aaaand it doesn't drain your sanity. Same as meats are befriending your pigs for chopping/fighting and it doesn't take that much longer to get them together. And they provide a massive sanity boost...And they last longer on your side...And there is no annoying music... So basically you are able to befriend a huge amount of Pigs with the One-Man-Band but considering how easy it is to get enough meat and you don't suffer any penalties... yeah you could say it is kind of useless. I've only ever crafted the One Man Band once and made the image in my signature right after because of how hilariously stupid it looked. Haven't used it since. Joking aside, I've never used the one man band a single time, except for giggles. There's really no practical reason to, it's expensive and kills your sanity for followers I won't need anyway, and in cases I need followers like against giants they'll die in one or a few AoE hits anyway. It was an awesome experience and I'm sad to be hanging out with my son every day, but it's also good to be back to gamedev. Taking a step away from the keyboard for a while gave me lots of time to think about games and come up with some new ideas. As for what I'm working on... it's kind of a secret at the moment. It's not far enough along to really talk about yet, but I can't wait to share it the moment it's ready. I think you'll like it! Oh, and... er... back on topic: The one man band was kind of a joke item. I mean, just LOOK at that animation.
