acemurdock Posted July 30, 2014 Share Posted July 30, 2014 Sorry if this has been said before, I scrolled through a lot of topics and saw nothing on it.ANYWAYI know when you spawn Lucy in the console, she says things to the other characters.BUTThe way the text works in DST, do you think her words will show up on the other non-Woodie characters' screens? Guest Posted July 30, 2014 Share Posted July 30, 2014 I think so because in the second play test everyone can hear each other examining things, and Lucy can say things to any character like "Put me down!" so I think she actually talks like one of the characters, therefore other people can hear her. But doesn't she say something like "You're not Woodie?" Maybe it's just something they put in to play around with, but maybe they won't keep it in DST. Because, since Woody can't really use it without transforming in the werebeaver, any other char would be an awesome lumberjack while woody can do any other thing, like finding food, and just use it when everyone need the werebeaver, like, take on a Queen Spider, werebeaver and wolfgang(mighty) could kill it very easily Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Woodie still turns using any other axe, and he still chops just as fast. If another character picked up Lucy, they'd just get a chance to use an axe that never breaks. I know it all. And Lucy chops and never breaks, if any ohter char can use it, he/she will be a great lumberjack, thats the point, and then, Woodie can look for food, lets say, Wilson grabs Lucy and starts to cut some trees with a second char, and then, Woodie go and start to look for food, killing some spiders, and things like that. But, maybe, just Woodie will have the hability to use Lucy, or if any other char uses it, Woodie will turn into a Werebeaver anyway( hope they don't do it) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

See here. I think that's true, when it comes to things like Abigail's flower, but why couldn't someone else use Lucy? I could see that being possible. The coding is getting the item to work, they're not linked to any character right now as far as I know (besides stuff like the books and abigails flower, which are more complicated). Yeah I checked last night, I guess it was just some old lines that were in her script that they never ended up using. My bad. :/ I hardly ever use the console so I thought they were still there. There are a lot of reasons why the axe could talk, in different headcanons. That's why I started this thread, to discuss what you guys thinks it means if others can hear her.
