Information:

This is a continuation of the "Shadowfall" roleplay.  While knowledge of what happened in the original story is recommended, it is not necessary and you will probably pick up what you need to know along the way.  If you had a character in the original, feel free to bring them back.  This roleplay has very little actual Don't Starve content; you have been warned.

Rules:

YOUR CHOICES HAVE CONSEQUENCES.  One move can make or break alliances, win or loose a battle, kill someone or save their life.  Oh, and don't think I'm kidding about that last one; if you make too many bad choices at one point in time, you will probably die.

 

The character rules mainly go for themselves; no godmodding, don't make things too ridiculous, and try to take it seriously.  That sort of thing.

 

If you have or start using bad grammar, chances are you won't get accepted. 

 

Try to keep a bit of time imbetween fight scenes.  It makes it hard for people to join if it's just constant combat.

Just post a relatively detailed character sheet below to join in.  I will read through and tell you wether or not you're accepted.  If you're relatively new to roleplaying, I'll probably give you a bit of a writing test if I can't decide based on your character sheet.

Jakob Battal

An apprentice pyromancer who helped lead the original party against Shadowfall.  He vanished without a trace after the shade fell.

 

Viti-Mortos

A powerful and wise Warrior shade who is bound in servitude to the remaining members of the original party.

Joseph

After disbanding from the rest of the original warriors who slayed Shadowfall, Joseph followed his new resolution. He spent each day training himself with the blade he forged from his late mentor and father figure's remains in a secluded part of the world. The growing mentalmancer continued forging the blood sword until it became thin and light, and very quick. He found himself growing oddly attached to his blade, seeing it as the only material object left of his father.

 

Eventually, his robotic leg replacements (Which were issued to him after his real legs were severed in a battle from the first Shadowfall roleplay) Began to rust and age. Unable to find a good way to repair the crutch-like legs, he severed them in fear of infection. Gripping his blade tightly, he levitated his upper body into the air. From then on, he practiced holding himself in the air until he could do it constantly, at the expense of his once powerful telekinesis.

 

@Will

 

Will

Race: Sometimes completely human. Sometimes half demon, half human. It changes every so often.

 

Back story: Ever since Shadowfall has been defeated, Will has been in custody of the Raven's Dott Society due to false charges of treason. Supposedly, Will took nearly every single weapon and piece of armor in the Society's vault, and tried to start a war with the Shades. Will was, despite all of his connections to the higher ups, was found guilty by his piers along with Violet. His execution date draws ever closer.

 

Abilities: Will has a vast arsenal of many different adventuring tools, such as weapons, healing items, food, and other necessities. He also gains abilities based on his current racial status.

As a Human: Will is much less physically adept, and is fairly slow. However, he also loses his blood lust and is much better at making plans or diplomacy.

As a Halfling: Will has the ability to enter is monster form, which offers incredible speed and damage potential, but his judgement is hazed by blood lust. He could very easily lose himself if things go horribly wrong. When not in monster form, the blood lust is lessened making him still loyal, but will be irrational and irritable. He is fairly fast in human form, and has a small healing factor that allows him to close open wounds faster.

 

Behavior: Dark Will's death has traumatized Will, causing him to become a broken shell. He will rarely talk unless his life depends on it. He has no sense of urgency. He will only act to save himself. THIS WILL ONLY LAST FOR A LITTLE. I WILL MENTION WHEN THIS HAS CHANGED.

 

Violet

Back story: Violet was taken with Will, and was deemed Will's accomplice. She is to be executed along with Will by the Society.

 

Race: Human

 

Abilities: Violet has the power to turn static electricity into pure lightning.

 

Behavior: After Pops's death, Violet has had trouble forming bonds with others. She is traumatized in being unable to look past anyone's mortality.

 

Bael

Back story: Bael was the first demon who Will was the host of. He attempted to destroy all he felt was wretched in the universe with the power of the Nightmare Throne and the help of Them. Luckily, Will was able to stop him. It has never been revealed to anyone how exactly Will succeeded. It appears, though, that he has returned to cause more trouble by trying to get Will executed and starting a war between the Raven's Dott Society and the Shades.

 

Race: Demon

 

Abilities: Bael has the ability to transform into a doppelganger of Will, albeit with some noticeable physical differences. In this form, his abilities are the same as Will's human form when he is a halfling. However, Bael's greatest ability is his minor control over time and space. He is able to move space in minor ways, or reverse time in a small area by about 6 seconds, or stop time in a small area for 3 seconds.

 

Behavior: Bael is incredibly sadistic, and will never kill unless he has too. Instead, he chooses to torture his victims and make them his slaves. He also has a very large understanding on the human decision making process, due to being inside Will.

 

@Minik

 

Name: Randy.

Backstory: Even he does not know. Lost his memory. Woke up someday and... it's all.

Abilities: He can move (not living (except if they want)) things up to size of elephant.

Disabilities: He can't see colours.

Appearance: Tall, wears some kind of very old armour which is not so good. He have albinism so all his skin, eyes and hair are white. Looks unhealthy (actually does not feels like that).

Behaviour: Changing. If he is in a good mood, he is very nice guy. If not, he can throw you into a wall with nearest thing (to make unconscious, not kill).

Name: White

Age: 14

Race: human, female

Perks: making ice at the cost of sanity, immune to freezing

Weaknesses: making ice costs sanity, vulnerable to fire and extreme heat, knows next to nothing about magic and this world

Backstory: White was taking a vacation up north in the mountains with her family when she got lost. She was about to freeze to death when a voice coming from a radio in the snow offered to help her withstand the cold. She accepted the offer and the voice told her to pick up the blue gem that was close by. When she did, she absorbed the energy from the gem and blacked out, waking up in the Don't Starve world.

Appearance: She's an albino with icy blue eyes. Her hair is almost always in a braid and she wares blue jeans and a purple sweater.

Personality: naive, friendly, emotional, hopeful, gets home sick a lot

 

Story:

 

Almost an entire year has passed since the group of Warriors defeated Shadowfall, and life has not changed at all since then.  The party has broken apart, torn to pieces by death and insanity, and the survivors spend their days scraping out their poor excuses for lives. 

 

However, as the chill of Winter grows near, things are changing, and not for the better.  Shades begin appearing again, wearing the emblem of a snowflake made from bloodied swords.  Corruption spreads from Oranihil again, and from the ever-frozen mountains in the West.  Terrifying warriors in blazing armor ransack towns for what little supplies they contain.

 

And the nightmare might only just be beginning...

When the foes began to emerge, Joseph found himself holing up in a cave for shelter, threatening anything - or anyone - that came close. He remained there until driven out by a group of soldiers, and has been on the run since.

 

Appearance: Joseph is the floating upper half of a body, wielding a thin blade made of blood. Scars litter his pale face. He has short black hair and brown eyes. If one was to stand him up, he would be three feet tall.

 

Abilities:

 

Mind prowess: Joseph has the ability to use telepathy and telekinesis. Any attacks that would affect ones mind are harshly negated for him, and he has a small resistance to insanity.

 

Pops's blade: Joseph's has nearly mastered his blade, which he refers to as "Pops's blade". this sword is nearly as long as he, but oddly light. Joseph has the ability to manipulate it's form to an extent, allowing him to extend or bend the blade. The blade itself, being a once powerful mentalmancer itself, empowers the wielder. Much of Joseph's newfound strength comes from him weilding the blade.

 

Mental expert: Joseph is slowly gaining the ability to walk through consciousnesses as his mentor once did. He isn't very good at it, but there is a good chances his skill in this will grow over time.

 

Levitation: Joseph's mode of transportation is levitation. His body can go up to five feet off the ground. This does not allow him to fly over pits and such.

 

Disabilities:

 

Legless: Joseph has no legs. He must keep himself levitated in order to move, (Or crawl with his arms, but that is slow and tedious work). Because of this, his telekinesis is under a large strain. When exhausted, it will be all he can do to keep himself in the air, and sometimes he will fail to stay afloat.

 

Terrors of the past: Joseph's been through a lot. Despite him having a minor resistance to insanity, he already is not what one would call sane. He may act oddly at times.

 

Behavior: Joseph is no longer the friendly, childish person he once was. Past events have made him more quiet, but somewhere in him is the excitable child of the past.

I have 3 characters I need to request. You will know 2 of them, (and hopefully the third one. I hope some people read my stories which I have yet to finish.)

Athena quickened her pace, not wanting the three spiders chasing her to catch up. She wasn't worried though. She had done this many times before. Hearing three thuds from behind her, Athena turned around and chuckled. Hunting spiders was easy when they made no attempt to avoid traps.

Just then, the spider den in front of her started to shake. Six, long legs protruded from the sides of the den, which now formed an abdomen. The Spider queen turned and locked eyes on her prey.

Athena stood there with a look of terror frozen on her face. "Oh crap."

It's just that you said he can't move people unless they want to be moved, but then you said he'd throw you at a wall if he was angry. It's a contradiction because no one wants to be thrown at a wall.
