An option to disinstall mods directly from the game

Recommended Posts

I find it time consuming to go into the folder of the game and manually delete the mods.
I think implementing a disinstall button (same as the disable button, only that it disinstalls the mod) would be a good thing.

*Uninstall

Anyways, it seems kind of pointless, just permanently disable the mod, going the extra step and completely deleting it kinda seems a little, I dunno, overkill?

Yey for the typos!

If you have lots of mods in the mods page, it will get too much crowded. It's annoying to not be able to remove some useles mods that are there just to fill space.

Also (I'm not sure) I think that having lots of mods installed will slow down the loading time for when you open the mods page. Again, that's very annoying.

I think that's only with mods you have subscribed to on steam, never had that problem with Standalone.

Standalone master race.

xD

I concur, having played both Steam and standalone mods, If I have only standalone mods installed, then my load time is 2 or 3 seconds. If it has to sync with Steam, it's "go get a coffee" time.

BTW: This mod solves that problem with Steam. It adds a button to the Mod page so it only checks for update when you want it to, not every time it loads the page.

But what I do find odd is that if you were subscribed to Steam, then unsubscribing subsequently uninstalls the mod, so it does seem like the OP is talking about the Standalone version. I can certainly concur with his thesis on too many mods on the mod selection page though. When I first discovered how useful they could be, I installed about 80 of them, and it took almost an hour to sync the first time. Then there was the hassle of pages and pages and pages of mods to scroll through to adjust the one I wanted to.

You could go to the steam workshop and unsubscribe. But that is up to you this is just a solution if the problem is really bothering you. Also I think going through the folder only takes like 15 seconds so I dont find it time consuming at all.

Yea I've missed the whole unsubscribing thing...so thanks for that tip.

Going through the folder is something I don't think everyone knows that it can be done. So yea. Easy way easier times.
