Will Workshop characters function online?

Or if nothing else, will there be a whitelist of "Klei approved" workshop characters (not OP, not copyrighted, not awful, etc.)?

 

I'm doing my damnedest to make a character that would actually fit in the game (yes, their name even starts with W, huehue) and learning it's gonna suddenly become unusable in a major component of the game would kinda take some wind out of my sails.

Yes, this has already been discussed within a couple of threads. Some have pointed out your idea; that there should be a whitelist of "Klei approved" workshop characters (not OP, not copyrighted, not awful, etc.).
It's not decided though. I don't think I've heard of any devs mentioning anything about the subject.
