Sopikachu
Hi there! My name's Ashley. I'm super new in the forums, and I'd like to start popping in regularly and drawing. (I take suggestions~) I've been playing an unhealthy amount of Don't Starve, and I bought the expansion yesterday. Though I like all the characters, I have a soft spot for solemn little Wendy. I love her dynamic with her sister. It's sad and it kind of made me (okay it REALLY made me) want to draw. https://www.dropbox.com/s/38zzzi7ecqsq0vm/wendy.png I'd like some critique. It's sketchy, and I was going to finish the lineart (and by finish I mean touch up) but I thought it looked alright kind of messy, because of the way that the original artwork is. And I'm a huge fan of the art in Don't Starve. Okay - well then, thanks for looking!
NikMik
Man, she looks like ****. I meant in the way that she looks so beaten up and sad. Good job! The droopy flower really adds to it. Not sure if it's intended, but something about the cheeks makes her look older. I always thought of her being 8-16. But hey, I don't know. Might just be me, as well. I was really trying for the whole 'lost and confused' thing - glad I portrayed it pretty well. It's awesome that you noticed the flower. I did it on purpose just as a subtlety! Yeah, she does look older. At first, I was going to draw her as a little girl, but I wanted to try to make her look older and kind of withered, like she'd been there for a very long time and wasn't sure if she could ever leave. Also, drawing sad kids is hard. Haha.

I wish I weren't too busy to draw stuff like that.

And the clothes just keep growing with her! ;D Yeah, I actually was sick today and called out of work... so I ended up drawing and playing video games all day. >_>I haven't really sat down and really /drew/ something in so long. It feels good! You should do it!

Sopikachu
I still draw alot(Textures for mods). just too busy to draw stuff like I used to.I see, I see. :3 I'd like to be able to create my own character. That'd be really neat. Then again, I say I'm going to do things, then I don't. >_> Hey, and I have a question. I looked in the FAQ and saw that I should be able to edit my posts, but I don't see that option. I'd like to edit my topic name so that I can make this a full fanart thread and so I don't clog up the forum with too many topics when I want to update. It's pretty fun and easy when you learn the basics. I only even looked at a lua file mid-last year, and now I'm working on a pretty big mod to add new boss monsters. The atwork takes me about 18+ hours to do for each thing, but I like drawing so that's no problem. You can edit your posts when you've made enough. I can't change the actual name of my threads, though, so I think you need a mod for that. Edited April 23, 2014 by Mr. Tiddles

Some people are so creative. Thanks for the help, as well. You've been really awesome!
