Tamazacat
The Problematic Tale:So... Our wee Wilson heard the hounds and he equipped the bush hat during the pouring rain and did what he did best - he hid until morning. Or tried.Essentially, it was spring; heavy rain o'plenty. So, not only did Wilson keep coming out from his hiding spot through saying "Did you hear that?", but when the hounds came in he hid.... and hid... until the rain meter struck 40. "It's a bit wet out."WTF WILSON! YOU IDIOT! XDSo he came out of hiding towards the end of the night, hounds on his tail.It could have ended in disaster had it been earlier on._________________________________________________________The Solution:It's simple, really. I propose that instead of coming out of hiding, the character whispers within the bush hat. It's a bit unsettling when hounds are right beside you and Wilson just pops up to let you know it's raining... Cheers,Tamazacat
MaestarLibrarian
That moment when you go into the ruins, the nightmare cycle is at it's heaviest point, you go hide and an earthquake starts...They all yell something about the earthquake and go out of hiding -.-
Tamazacat
My point exactly. So instead of jumping out and yelling about something happening, they should quietly whisper whilst in their hiding spot
NeoDeusMachina
I can't agree more with this suggestion. Either whisper something or just not say anything while hidden in a bush hat. Maybe this should also apply to the snurtle shell armor when you are hiding underneath?
Tamazacat
I think it should be applied to any type of "hiding" armour.I don't like the idea of having nothing at all, as one with a short attention span *cough* me *cough* might actually forget that there's danger lurking about. Parrotoss
Yes please! It seems like a perfect and logical enough fix!
Doomfan64
Even worse, "It's getting dark. I need to make a campfire".As if nighttime hound attacks weren't already frustrating enough.
Tamazacat
Ughhhhhhh. I hate that. Albeit, it's good there's some kind of warning that night is approaching... But when you already have a fire pit ROARING to prepare for the hounds and they're making a beeline towards you... *shudders*
XirmiX
That was hilarious! But Bush hat doesn't protecti you from the hound attacks anymore, I think. They attacked me even when I hid and had everything going okay.

Perhaps that was your problem?

Can you give me a video or any sort of proof, may be a gif that hounds do not attack you if you've hidden during hound attacks WITH the current version of the RoG? I took this screenshot just for you: I hid as soon as I heard the hounds were coming. When they finally came, they were like running around, trying to aggro on some nearby frogs, but not on me because I was hidden beneath the bush. they finally came back near my position (they probably killed everything that was close) and just waited there... patiently... XirmiX
I just watched some video with guy playing the game with mods during a hound attack, and it seemed like the sound of hounds coming doesn't stop when the first hound is spawned but a bit later, so it must have been my mistake that I hid too late, cause it was the first hojnd that attacked me. In future, I'll remember to not to leave it till the last moment! Thanks for this anyway!
