oCrapaCreeper
So how many people actually take advantage of Maxwell's special power? I never see anyone really bother trying to spawn shadow puppets, which is kinda sad because they are incredibly powerful in the hands of experienced players. It especially shines after you go down into the ruins and collects stacks of nightmare fuel and you can constantly keep spawning them in as long as you keep an eye on your health. Does anyone aside from me find themselves using it on a regular basis when playing as Maxwell? I know it got nerfed a few times, but it's still pretty powerful. It gives Maxwell a huge perk in late game. It's even useful in early game as the shadow puppets have a long enough range to kill rabbits, even if they run away. Maximum124
They're only really viable when you first spawn and later in the game when you have a steady supply of nightmare fuel. That awkward space in the middle tends to be the space in which I die as him. So no I barely use the codex.

I do wish they only costed 1 nightmare fuel like they did before during testing, instead of 2. That was kind of overkill on top of the other nerfs they got. Reducing the max amount of puppets from 5 to 3 and having them scare rabbits was far enough.

SilverBone
Wait it costs nightmare fuel? I thought it costed sanity..?
Strangerdanger101
Wait it costs nightmare fuel? I thought it costed sanity..?It costs 2 nightmare fuel, lowers the max sanity a bit, and makes you lose a bit of health.
Zhuzha
Wait it costs nightmare fuel? I thought it costed sanity..?It's both. To spawn a puppet you need 2 Nightmare Fuel, and while the puppet is alive your max sanity is lowered.Edit: Whoops, ninja'd.

Followers in general don't attack shadow creatures sadly. It would make sense for shadow puppets to though.
The Letter W
Yeah! I mean they are mind fragments and the shadow creatures supposedly are too. Hopefully that'll be a patch in at some point. :s
