PS4 Controls?

Hi, I own Don't Starve for Steam, but I also have a PS4 and would like to know what the official controls are for the PS4 version so I can map my Dualshock 4 controls on the PC version so it feels like the console version. I rarely play on my gaming laptop(haven't played Don't Starve for a while now, but I've owned it for almost a year), but when I do, I prefer a controller in my hand while displaying the picture on my TV and I really don't want to have to buy another copy of Don't Starve just to play with the official console controls. I'm aware that you can map your own controls to the DS4, but I'd like a list of the controls to use as reference points for the best control layout. Also, if there are multiple control layouts on the PS4 version, I'd like those as well.

The reason I don't already know what the PS4 controls are, is because, from what I looked up, this information isn't available anywhere on the internet. The PS4 version doesn't have a demo or trial that I could download to look at the controls really quick. Also I don't have money to buy the PS4 version at the moment and even if I did, I wouldn't want to spend my money buying a game that I already own on a different platform that has mod support.

So if anyone owns the PS4 version of Don't Starve, please share the official control layout(s) of said version. Screenshots would be much appreciated to prove you aren't lying (you can take screenshots on the PS4 by holding the share button while playing and can then upload them to either your twitter or facebook account).

That would be great. I only wanted a screenshot just to confirm the controls. I would also accept a picture taken from a camera or a webcam(even a laptop's webcam) if you have one, but the picture/screenshot was always an optional form of proof.

So... funny story...

When I went to go map the controls in Don't Starve on the PC to my PS4 controller... all of the controls were exactly the same as in the picture... except for the button for the map screen (obviously the track pad isn't going to work while trying to input buttons on a PC game) and the zoom buttons which I merely mapped to the "Map Zoom" buttons which were L2 and R2. Still, it's good to know Klei Entertainment were one step ahead of me on this.

Are you just talking about Don't Starve?  It is compatible with both Xbox and PS4 controllers.

 

As far as other games, it depends on the game and if it has controller support.  There are a bunch of other programs too that are for using controllers, but in general Xbox works on most and PS4 on many.

I'm actually considering getting Don't Starve on PS4 now because my crappy, overpriced gaming laptop that used to run Don't Starve perfectly, now lags frequently while I'm playing and I'm not the type of person to turn down settings for things to operate easier. Also, I'm pretty sure all controllers compatible with Windows register as Xbox 360 controllers. That's what my PS4 controller does on Windows 8.

I actually started playing on PC, but bought a PS4 mostly for this game.  Mods are fun on PC, but if you are like me and prefer a console, it's just as fun on PS4.
