Never saw that before the DLC. I think it's a way to allow more pig v merm battles as I've seen those mostly near pig villages. Also, Volt Goat (one of the new mobs) Not sure entirely but out of my two encounters it takes 11 hits to kill with spear as wickerbottom putting it's health at anything between 350-370. Took two hits unarmoured taking a total damage of 74, potentially 37 damage. Forgot to add. Kill 1 = 3 Large meats and 1 Volt Goat Horn. Kill 2 = 3 Large meats. That or mushrooms grow into mushtrees. It also seems that flowers may turn into evil flowers.To add to this it doesn't get dark during a full moon allowing you to explore without light.
