Reporting Bugs - Logs, Files, & Useful Information

If you encounter any kind of technical issues while playing the Eets Munchies and require technical support through our forums, here is a list of logs, files, and useful information you may want to include in your bug report. These will help provide us with detailed information about issues you may have encountered.

 

Also, while it's not necessary to send us all of these files, the more information you can provide us, the better equipped we will be to help you out!

 

DXDiag

In order to get a DXDiag on WindowsXP or more recent operating systems:

  • Click on your Start button

  • Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard to access the "Run" window

  • On the new window, type in dxdiag.exe and press enter; this will open up the DirectX diagnostic tool

  • Click on the "Save All Information" tab on the diagnostic tool

  • A "Save As..." window will pop up where you can click on save. It will save your hardware information as a document to your desktop (default).

  • Close the diagnostic tool and attach the new document to your forum post or support ticket.

Eets Munchies Game Logs

PC Game Logs

  • Go to your Documents folder and inside look for the folder called "Klei"

  • Double-click on "Klei" and choose "Eets2"; once inside, double-click the "log" folder

  • Here you'll find your game log files. (ie. game_2013_09_12_10_58_39.log)
    Attach those files to your thread on the forums.

Mac Game Logs

  • Press Command + Spacebar on your keyboard to open up the Spotlight; spotlight is the Mac OS X built-in search engine. (It should open up on the upper right-hand corner of the screen)

  • Once Spotlight is up, could you type it Eets2 and click on the Eets 2 folder;

  • Inside the Eets2 folder you'll find a folder called "log", go into that folder;

  • Here you'll find your game log files game_2013_09_12_10_58_39.log)
    Attach those files to your thread on the forums.

LINUX Game Logs (Standalone)

  • Find your Klei/Eets2 (~/Klei/Eets2) folder and double-click the "log" folder.

  • Here you'll find your game logs (ie. game_2013_09_12_10_58_39.log). Attach those files to your thread on the forums.

Eets Munchies Save Files (Profiles)

If you find that you have a buggy saved game file or profile (a gameplay problem that consistently occurs when you load your profile), open up your documents folder and follow this file path: (documents/Klei/Eets2/profiles) and look for the file called profile.prf; attach it to your thread on the forums.

 

Settings.ini

Providing us with the "settings.ini" file will help us determine if your issue is caused by audio or graphics settings. To find your "settings.inifile, go to your documents folder and follow this file path: documents/Klei/Eets2 and look for the file called "settings.ini"; attach and post it on your thread on the forums.
