  1. An item from the latest update: napsack... You'd think Klei would know what they are doing. So, the heck? I just don't understand and would like some clarification. Overlooks? Other items are not taken intro consideration when making them? Balance is completely disregarded? Not enough testing? I'm confused I'm not talking about decorative stuff, of course, this is all stuff that is supposed to be used in some form. Do they want them to be situational only? Because generally speaking, you can't use this much due to it requiring Toadstool skins, obviously. On the other hand, some other items they implemented in the update, like the bone armour, just make things that aren't supposed to be easy, easier, aka enable more ways to exploit the game. Why is this? How does it come to it?

IT'S FINALLY HAPPENED. This piece'a crap took nearly forever, and, in all honesty, i'm fuckin' excited for this ****s release. And who is the genius whom coded in literally all of War's functions? Why, that man is @DarkXero! This man had coded in an enormous amount of code and i honestly can't thank him enough. But onto its special abilities now! War's pro's: *War can not only continuously sail on water, but he creates waves during the process! *War is able to literally go out of bounds (going too far may cause a crash, just sayin') *War has the ability to trample over things, just like giants! *War is able to devour everything and anything *War is a living divining rod (press G to toggle that function) *War never freezes nor burns *War can't overheat nor get cold *War has night-vision *War doesn't get hurt and his health is literally gibberish *War does not starve *War does not lose sanity *War does not inflict pain when it comes to small weaklings *War does not flinch upon being hit by monkey **** *War is not effected by spider webs *War can literally kill the master on the throne *War has a custom intro! *War will be struck by lightning upon moving from world-to-world! *War is a killing machine *Custom Maxwell intros for all 6 chapters! *War's ability to become a living divining rod will automatically trigger in adventure mode *War has 3 extra inventory slots War's con's: *War cannot equip any items *War will inflict pain upon being hit by Giants *Upon throne death, the world gets immensely ****** up *War does not speak *War can't sleep, similarly to Wickerbottom *War can't use items for anything but to eat them *Upon throne death, War will be constantly hunt down by them *War has seen some **** I guess you could say that this fag has 2 purposes. 1. it makes life easier for those whom suck at don't starve. e.g. me. 2. its coding could be used for those whom aren't so skilled at coding when makin' a mod i guess. But again, i cannot thank @DarkXero enough. What makes me even more thankful is how all of these functions were done by him and only him. i'm not even exaggerating. i was surprised and baffled how he had the patience to stay by my side with this mod from beginning to end. i genuinely am honored to have been able to work with this man, and i really wish to make this man about as happy as i. so please, give this man some recognition and some praise by following him. please, i beg of you. P.S. special thanks to Deeyadee. please go watch her through deviantart for doing War's banner in the bigportrait file: http://deeyadee.deviantart.com/
  3. Bug Submission Please choose a category [Gameplay] Platform [*]Steam Version Number 72874 Issue title Movement is sticky/stopping. Steps to reproduce Hold down left click near edge of screen to start moving your character. Then, releasing left click instantly stops the character's movement. Describe your issue Movement just feels "sticky" to me now. Normally, A single left click on the ground and the character will move to that spot no matter how far. Holding left click down; the character will move in the direction of the mouse. And now after releasing the left click the character stops movement instantly. Before the update, I could have swore that after releasing the left mouse; the character would continue moving to the spot where you were last "clicking". I don't recall movement working in this manner before the recent update and didn't see anything about it being changed in the update notes.
  4. Hit a rabbit with an axe, it still got away...I feel like his character is underutilized unless he is dying constantly:More frequent hound attacks as Wes?Maybe food spoils faster in his inventory?Hated by pigmen?10 HP?Oh, maybe fill a portion of his inventory with invisible boxes that you can't get rid of!
  5. It's just a minor thing, but I noticed that when she is mentioning that it is getting dark she uses the word "hear" instead of "here." As in she says "The darkness will be hear Soon." Not a big deal, and I'm not sure if it was intentional, just caught my eye. Yay for my first post
  6. so far the ranking is really nothing because ive never seen anybody be above newbie except kevin and it irritates me.why is it there?
  7. I don't know what it is, but I am just not having fun. I am not going to say that the game is terrible, because it is apparent from this community's activity and suggestions that this game has won people over and will continue to do so. On top of that, I am not the type of person to insult another's work of art. So starting off on a pleasant note: I love the art style, the idea of it and the sound design, BUT the gameplay isn't hitting home for me. I have played for about an hour and I feel like I haven't made any progress at all. The speed in which time flows in the game seems to be a little excessive in my eyes and it is probably one of the factors that plays into my lack of entertainment. It kinda of creates the idea that I should sit in one area and gather all of the resources I can just so I can throw it all into the research machine and die just to do it again. It creates a feeling of stress when I am racing against the clock and it get rather old quick. Maybe making time move slower will do the trick. I can't say for sure because it might be many other factors that I have yet to see. I am going to throw another couple of hours in just to see if it hooks me, if it doesn't I will just wait until the next update.
  8. on how overpowered the bird traps are we need to downgrade the birds traps so that only 6-4 birds(birds spawn infinitely now) get caught in them a day i have 120 morsels just from doing the bird traps another thing that could be is the traps go down by 20 percent each time called dont starve
  9. What has started to annoy me a bit is that instead of working for research points you can just end your life, start a new one , and in 7 days you could have up to 3,000 more research points. How is that? Well the answer is grass tufts. Dig up a ton of grass tufts, saplings, or berry bushes and put them into the science machine and watch the magic. 20 Research points each? This doesn't seem like much but if you spend 1 day in the "Beefalo Land" and dig up tons of grass tufts, and make the grass into rope, you could have an astounding amount of research points. Now I know the reason they give so many research points is because when you lose the tufts, you cannot get them back. But 20 just makes it so you feel like an idiot trying to get points otherwise. And besides, the worlds are so big that even if you lived on them forever you could still dig up tons and tons of those(Tufts, Saplings, Berry Bushes), plant a few, then research the rest and get ten times as many points as you'd ever need! This should really be nerfed if you want players to spend more than 30 minutes getting all the points they'd ever need to unlock everything in the full release of the game.
  10. Bug Submission Please choose a category [Gameplay] Platform Steam Version Number ----- Issue title Burned Red Birds come back to life Steps to reproduce Cause a forest fire around a Red Bird. Describe your issue After starting a forest fire to test whether or not a spiky bush would burn (It did but left no trace) I noticed a couple of Red Birds had died in the fire. They were already starting to fade out of existence as I walked to them to pick up the morsels. The first one I walked to flew away and the dead body disappeared. I was able to do the same with the second corpse. This issue may be present with Crows as well.
  11. Alert! IF YOU ARE NEW, BEWARE. THAR BE SPOILERS BELOW! (Can someone tell me how to do that sneaky, hide the spoilers with an expandable link thing?) I know that there is another thread that discusses all of the characters and says who's best - this thread is specifically about whether or not Willow is overpowered. =) I'm a bit new at this, but so far, I get the feeling that Willow The Firestarter is a bit overpowered, especially compared with the other characters. My first time playing with her I lasted 28 days and only died because I committed suicide to see starving would actually be like (other times I'd died in fights). With Wilson and Wendy I found the game to be much more difficult, both in the very beginning and a decent ways into the game, as they are much less forgiving characters. To be clear, I don't necessarily think this is a bad thing. The other characters still have draws to them, and if I feel like going for a challenge, I can choose them. However, I am naturally drawn to Willow since I know the game will be easier with her. Here's what I think of their comparative strengths and weaknesses (that I know of). Now, obviously this could change easily with updates: 1) Maybe it'll become way easier to accidentally burn forests down with Willow? Maybe, and this would be one of my suggestions, Willow starting a random fire could nearby ground, and that ground has to get a lot of manure to revive. Nothing can grow on that ground until it is fixed. 2) Other characters could gain more powers (or might have ones I don't know of yet). What happens when you bring Wendy into a grave with Abigail? Can you find Abigail's grave? (DON'T ANSWER THOSE QUESTIONS =P) Could having an epic beard make Wilson get on easy terms with the beefalo somehow? What kinda cool benefits could come from that? Maybe Willow's insanity meter (whenever that arrives) ticks down faster than most? Small sidenote - I'm very excited to see how winter and insanity meter come into play. I'd expect Wendy's insanity meter to drop a ton every time she sees Abigail. Or maybe the longer she goes without her it drops, since company keeps her sane? In the winter, will Willow get another huge boost thanks to her firestarting skills against the cold? Will Wilson's epic beard protect him from the cold? Can Wilson make a fake Tom Hanks out of volleyball to keep his sanity? Anyway, I'll shut up now and leave it to the community. What do you all think?
