1. Hey everyone! I noticed that there's a buttload of new memes and no place to put them. Post them here for people to see (and so we can stop clogging up the puzzle thread). Enjoy! Edit: Also, the memes don't have to be Maxwell themed. All characters are welcome. This is merely a sequel of a previous meme thread.
2. I spent far too long examining almost every. Single. Maxwell quote on the Wiki and have uncovered some interesting things that only either 1) Maxwell Players or 2) Others who have spent an hour looking at Maxwell's quotes (Wait... Who else DID THIS?) will know. So sit back, and be educated! (Eh... more or less...) This list is in no particular order. 1) Maxwell knew Lucy. Could lead to speculations on how Woodie and Maxwell relate ("Ah. How have you been, Lucy?") 2) Most any Maxwell player has probably noticed that Maxwell calls the World of Don't Starve's moon- "The 'Moon'" ( "The gem conjures water springs in conjunction with the "moon's" cycles." ) 3) The Ruins of the Ancient's city has a pulse, apparently. How odd, as Nightmare Fuel has been described as "still warm" by Willow. Odd, as animals with warm bodies are considered to have been alive, at some point. Alive. Alive. ("The pulse is quickening." -Thulecite Medallion (rising high)) 4) Maxwell refers to the Houndius Shootius as his own work. Why would he make it? What does he have to protect himself from? He knows he cannot be killed upon the nightmare throne. But perhaps it is the one thing that likely can kill him upon the throne he fears... Also, he (spoilers for later facts) is know to be friends with the Ancient Guardian. So why does it require Ancient Guardian to be dead to make? Although, I suppose Maxwell may not have needed the ingredients. But then why would the Ancients have it in their Pseudoscience Station, if Maxwell made it. And why would it require the Horn of the Ancient Guardian. As in... GUARDIAN of the ANCIENTS... Who knows... ("Some of my better work.") 5) Maxwell must have known the Dragonfly before, when it... was young? Or some similar creature, as the Broodling, upon examination, explains "Just like old times" 6) Heavenly Eggnog is Maxwell's favorite, he proclaims. He seems completely touched by the fact that he believes Charlie, who was ruling the nightmare throne at the time, added it for him. This honestly was touching, even to me, when I saw this quote... ("My... favorite... she remembered.") 7) Maxwell says there is a story behind the Touch Stone and its' existence. How odd, I'd like to hear... ("There's a story behind that...") 8) The "Headless Harp Statue" was made by Maxwell, although unlike the Clockworks, he isn't too proud of it ("Not my best work"). However, the Marble Pillars weren't created by him, and he doesn't even know who by. ("I've always wondered who built those") 9) Maxwell remembers every past explorer he comes across. This means either the surface was uninhabited until Maxwell arrived, or the only other human remains have long since past decomposition of even skeletons... So yeah, probably the first... ("Ha! I remember that one.") 10) Charlie's personality is hinted in the Florid Postern... Not that any Maxwell player hasn't noticed ("Always did have a flair for the dramatic...") 11) In relation to the Moon Stone, he has some interesting comments to make. He says "Ruins of an ancient relic." in relation to the non-repaired Moon Stone. This gives me two ideas- the usage of "ancient" is likely not referring to the Ancients, as it is non-plural and lowercase. This does show, however, nearly for certain that the Don't Starve World existed LONG before Maxwell. Also to aid in this idea is that the repaired Moon Stone has a different quote, "I had thought these were all destroyed eons ago." 12) "I plugged it a long time ago." (Plugged Sinkhole) "That was not a good idea!" (Opened Sinkhole) "Get me out of here!" (Rope to surface from Caves) Well then, Maxwell, we know something isn't too great about the Caves... What are you hiding? 13) Ancients SPEED ROUND: (Nightmare Light) "The overuse of fuel was their downfall", (Ancient Statues) "A once proud race.", (Ancient Pseudoscience Station {broken})- "This can be partially restored.", (Ancient Pseudoscience Station {repaired})- "Where are their gods now?", (Ancient Chest)- "A relic best forgotten.", (Ancient Mural {first})- "A picture of the city, before the fuel.", (Ancient Mural {second})- "We all know that happens next.", (Ancient Mural {third})- "They gained such an enviable power…", (Ancient Mural {fourth})- "I know why you led me back here.", (Ancient Mural {fifth})- "But it won't work." 14) Fun Fact: Fire and Ice hounds are Hounds Maxwell stuck a gem in either "as a joke" or due to a surplus or gems. ("I put fire gems in there as a joke." and "I had a lot of surplus gems!") Also, Hound Mounds go to the underground Hound Nests ("It's a tunnel down to the hound nests.") 15) Swamp SPEED ROUND: (Rundown House) "They copied the pigs, but they're even less intelligent.", (Merm) "They were here when I got here.", (Tentacle) "I'm glad the rest of it is still down there.", (Tentacle Spots) "This is how they reproduce.", (Tentapillar {Big Tentacle}) "How deep does this go?" 16) The ghosts remember Maxwell... No wonder they attack! ("It remembers me!") 17) Maxwell also seemed to know the MacTusk, as he seems friendly towards it, but it seems to not remember him. ("Don't you recognize me?") 18) Dangling Depth Dwellers were apparently different In-Game from Maxwell's last check on the Caves- He claims they change at a terrifying rate! ("Creatures in this world evolve at a terrifying rate.") 19) Depth Worms are apparently new to Maxwell, more proof of the quick evolving species ("Well that's new!") 20) Rock Lobsters were once on the surface. Maxwell claims he banished them to the underground, for a reason. ("I banished these guys down here for a reason.") 21) Ahhh, time to cover the great bird mystery. I'll just shove all of this into one fact. Are you ready? Ahem... Maxwell doesn't know much about the birds. He proclaims he doesn't know how the Crows got there, that the Redbirds come from the firelands, likely a land we haven't explored, and that the Snowbirds are just completely new to him. (Crow- "I don't know how they got here.", Redbird- "The redbird comes from the fire lands.", and Snowbird- "I don't recognize that one.") Also, apparently Maxwell doesn't like the Canaries, as his quote sounds like confused disgust ("How do these things keep getting into my world?"). Tallbirds are seemingly a genetic experiment, a failed one at that. ("These were a failed experiment."). Perhaps it was to do with the uncertainty of the birds? Also, Tallbird nests are made of dirty Beefalo hairs... 22) Maxwell knows about Chester's strange resurrection abilities, or that there are more Chesters, as he says to a Eyebone turned to dust, "Don't worry. There will be more Chesters." 23) Maxwell was seemingly great friends with the Ancient Guardian. The Guardian was likely very different when Maxwell knew him, as he proclaims "My my, the fuel has changed you." And when the Guardian dies, his horn's examination says "I'm sorry I have to do that, old friend." Even more saddening is when Maxwell examines the Large Ornate Chest, which appears when the Guardian dies, he says "It's almost like he's still alive." He misses his old friend, huh? 24) Green and Orange Gems seem to be prone to Nightmare Fuel (Green Gem- "The nightmare fuel will unlock its true potential.", Orange Gem- "This will be quite powerful with some fuel."), How funny, considering these are gems in the ruins. And the Desert Stones are claimed to be "An impure orange gem.". Could this mean that the lack of fuel it has received from being with the Antlion made it this way? And also, how did the Antlion get an orange gem? Aren't they from the Ruins? 25) The Obelisk only half-exists on the plane we're in when we play Don't Starve. I suppose, since it is theorized that the shadows like Mr. Skits and the Crawling Horror are only half on our plane, only accessible when we go crazy. Perhaps that is how Obelisks can rise and lower, with Mr. Skits popping in and out of it to rise and lower it. ("It only half-exists on this plane") BONUS: (Frayed Yarn- "The monster child gets tangled in this frequently.") Can anyone else imagine Webber playing with the Yarn? And getting tangled? WOULD THAT NOT BE HILARIOUS? If I missed anything, or if you think something else should be added, then please tell me! And if you actually read all of these quotes and my minor theories, then please, do tell! (And you earned a gold star!)
3. Admittedly, Thread titles have never been a strong point of mine, and neither has been writing opening posts for them for that matter. Sometimes I draw stuff and sometimes I find an appropriate place to post it. That's usually Tumblr and when I get arsed to DeviantArt and lastly, if it's relevant, Steam. I can't say I've done a particular lot of Don't Starve artwork but I have done some and surely that counts for something?I'm not going to overload this opening post with image files so I'm just going to showcase the only two I'm particularly proud of and provide some links for more. Wilon's best sanity tacticWilson in purpleThere's more scattered on my art blog and on my Steam which I think is linked in one of those posts. --------------------------------------------------------------- (This section reserved for request queue)
4. Ok so I realized that a couple people actually like my DS comic: Wilson meets Red. So I decided to post it here with a couple other crossover art pieces. Comic page 1: Page 2 part 1: Page 2 part 2: Comic page 3: I personally love some of Red's expressions in the first two pages XD Here are a few others I did before/during the comic. Science Machine: Carrots: Wilson's Squirrel Problem: And lastly, comic page 4: Edit: Should I post all my DS related work here or just keep updating my off-topic art thread with them?
5. Hey guys! I've been thinking a lot about that one Klei Twitch stream that they talked about Maxwell being the first of the nightmare throne, and I wanted to tell you people some of my theories. Kris, (I think that's her name) said something like, there were 0 to 0 people on the throne before Maxwell, and there have been many people after him. (I don't remember exactly what she said...) So, if there wasn't anyone on the nightmare throne before him, then when did the Ancients arrive? As Maxwell states, "They were all dead when I got here." What confuses me is that on the murals we get from the Metheus puzzle, we see that the "king" on the Ancients sits down on a throne. A throne that most people think would eventually be the nightmare throne. If, in fact, that is true, then Maxwell wouldn't be the first on the throne, because the "king" had already been on it. Another thing that is interesting is what Maxwell says in the end of Don't Starve adventure mode, when he is on the nightmare throne... "There wasn't much here when I showed up. Just dust. And the Void. And Them." If there wasn't much but dust and void when Maxwell got to the Don't Starve world, then how did the Ancients get there? Maxwell says they were dead when he got there, but he also says there wasn't much in the world other than dust, void, and them... A bit confusing. Here is just a side note: I noticed a similarity between the shape in the middle of the gateway in the first mural, and one of the phases of the moon. Do you see it? There seems to be something suspicious about the moon. Maxwell only refers to the moon as, the "moon". What could that mean? There seems to be a magical connect between the moon and the Don't Starve world... Anyway these are a few thoughts I've had lately about DS lore. What do you guys think?
6. I'm suggesting some commands for Maxwell's Shadow Puppets like ''Stop'', ''Mine'', ''Cut'' and ''Dig''. For example if I plant some marble trees in my base and I have a Shadow Miner Puppet, that Puppet will go and mine all the trees by default, so in order to make him stop, I have to go away from them which it's kida annoying for some time. Since they are Maxwell's Puppets, could be cool to implement a way to command your Puppets when to stop and when to do the desired task/s.

I released the quest idea as standalone mod: http://forums.kleientertainment.com/topic/77146-release-quest-mod/ This mod ports the adventure mode from DS to DST. But project is unfinished! -> not playable yet. I uploaded this, so any modder can take the files and the progress I made, to continue work on the project. But of course please with credits to me. Before doing anything with this mod, you should dig through all the files of this mod and try to understand it. You can try to ask me here at forum, if you want to continue my work and have some questions. Special thanks to DarkXero, who provided me essential code to play the adventure maps one after the other. What it already contains: - The adventure maps are loaded in the same order as in DS. - First world will be a custom small map, where you can search for Maxwells Door. In other worlds you have to build teleportato to go to next world. - I already made code to add small quests to the game. The code might be confusing, it is first blueprint since only me had to understand it But you can add quests like "bring me xy", "build houses", "dance for pigking" or "kill/destroy abc". Reward can be coins, from which you can buy some basic ressources. - I also included another game mode, where you can only craft a few things at beginning and no reseachlab does exist. You have to unlock new recipes by quests (blueprints as reward). - you can choose different difficulties, which will affect weather/mobs and also quests. - everywhere in my code I made comments, mostly in german, about ToDo and what does what. Limitations/ToDo for which I don't have time at the moment: - May be incompatible to recent game updates (did not test) - Maps with islands do not work currently, as islands in DST are broken and it needs alot of work to restore it. You could make instead one landmass and divde it with some basalt or similar. At the moment it is one landmass without basalt. - Of course changing daytime/weather for only one player when jumping to wormwhole does not work in DST. - For the last level, where you meet maxwell, I imagined some kind of a last boss fight, maybe against shadow clockworks. - What should happen when meeting maxwell at throne? Whole code needs rework I think. - Add more quests. - Add more coop gameplay. - Add new game mechanics and mobs, that were not present in DS adventure. - fix some bugs in quests or worldjump - test and balance everything (maybe BETA?) - Maybe add this map: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=608722692 - Could not find anim [inactive] in bank [trap_teeth_maxwell] - not sure if using own game mode "adventure" or using wilderness... - ... more see modmain and modworldgenmain. Most of ToDo in german How to "play": - choose mod in server mods when creating a game, choose modsettings. - then choose "Adventure" as a game mode. If you don't, game will crash. - you can write "TheWorld.components.adventurejump.DoJump()" into console to jump to next world (sometimes it does not work), or use maxwells door/teleportato. Threads I made: http://forums.kleientertainment.com/topic/70564-your-quest-ideas-and-ds-adventure-i-will-make-mod/ http://forums.kleientertainment.com/topic/70291-coop-adventure-mode-your-ideas/ If some modders are willing to continue work, I might get enough motivation to also continue work. But alone it is just too much work.
10. Skellington on the Island Edited by: @Arlesienne Chapter 1: Voice of the radio Once upon a Halloween, the Halloween Town awards were roaring in town hall. The Mayor was awarding the citizens of the town their talents. He congratulated their local hero, Jack Skellington, for how spectacular it was. The pumpkin king agreed to his friend, bowing with respect. Lights dimmed down as the festivities were at a close. With another Halloween almost over, the huge grand guignol of the town had turned silent(much to the skeleton's relief). Yet with that relief, a sensation nagged at the back of his skull. Needing inspiration once again. Jack headed behind the stage curtains and let his true thoughts come out as a external monologue. "Something's missing... There's got to be a way to make Halloween more hideous, more terrifying, more frightening-" He slowed out a sigh with defeat in his frustration. "This just can't go on... You've got to do better, Jack." Heading home, Jack went to sit on his bed in thought, the lack of inspiration causing him to stoop, the chin resting on his hands as the hours drifted by. Then... A odd static sound could be heard. Causing Jack to stiffen in confusion. His head turned, eye sockets widening to the sound of a radio. Hey pal... That radio Sally got me for Christmas? Jack wondered to himself as he approached it. The Voxola radio continued to make static, even to Jack's surprise of it not being plugged in. "Hello...?" Jack tried to play its game. Having trouble finding a reason for the season? "Oh. I do. Trying to find new scares. It's... Not as fun as it used to be." Jack rubbed the back of his neck with a look of regret to the floor. The radio got to him and he couldn't help but agree. I can give you that inspiration... If you'll let me. "Maybe later." Jack quickly denied, waving a hand in disagreement. "I'll think about it though." Standing up, he backed toward the door. For a master of terror, the radio really left him unnerved. He headed over to his dear friend Doctor Finklestine's laboratory to seek counsel. "A new Halloween...?" The doctor asked while gazing into his advanced microscope, multitasking as Jack's confidence came back again. "A fresh, new and improved Halloween, doctor. After last year, we can't just do the same old thing." The skeleton's sense of showmanship just sifted through. "We should all be inspired to do something different!" He walked over to Finklestine. The doctor now gazing at his examples. Yet Jack continued. "We need new scares, new ideas, new discoveries!" Finklestine cocked his head with interest. "New discoveries, eh? I think I have just the kind of thing you're talking about." The good doctor reached under his table, picking up a fairly large glass container. Its contents being something eldritch. Alive. Finklestine placed it on the table. "I call it the soul robber. Take it, Jack." Yet the creature wasn't being patient. It bounced around the container trying to be free. Jack gingerly outstretched a hand to the jar, the fingers hesitant, trying hard to be careful. The doctor pressed on. "I'm sure it will come in handy." Agreeing to the reassurance, Jack placed his hand on the lid, suddenly not finding it as difficult as he perceived it to be. Like a leech, it sprang onto his arm. Clutching tight for dear life. Jack was taken back, letting out a gasp of surprise. Yet nothing of anger, rather the opposite. Carefully, Jack swung his arm lightly around in curiosity. Taking this in all at once. Unfortunately the action of just a slight swing caused the creature to break one of Finklestine's materials from a distance. The creature jotted out to grab a item and return to Jack's wrist. "Amazing!" The pumpkin king pleasantly exclaimed at the soul robber's display. He turned to find Finklestine driving away in his wheelchair to give himself space to look at Jack. "Exactly, doctor, exactly! That settles it. I'll head out in search of more new discoveries for next year's Halloween!" The confidence just overpowered from the new batch of inspiration pouring in. Calming down, Jack took a few steps in front of Finklestine. "Doctor, please watch after things while I'm away. I just know you'll keep things in check." There was a curious smirk on the good doctor's face. "Oh... Now I'm certainly looking forward to next Halloween." He rolled away with Jack staring for a few minutes in thought. He broke free from his daze with a shaking of the head and headed for out of town. A grin from side to side as Jack just knew he was going to have a edifying experience. Running to the graveyard and onto... Spiral Hill? Someone's standing on the hill, Jack thought to himself. He stopped for a moment. Eye sockets trying to get a good look at the tall figure. Step by step, he tried to get a good look at the man standing in front of the moon. The bright round shape framing him in view like a portrait. Jack had to stop. He knew the man was staring back at him. Trying to break free from his concern, he got closer to the man. "Hello? Are you lost?" Jack asked, hoping for the man to speak. Though with just a second, the man finally moved. Head tilting with a subtle meanness to it. "No, you are..." Pal. The voice from the radio! Jack took a step back. Feeling a tingle up his spinal column. "How?" "I think you know what I mean. Loss in inspiration." The tall man walked up to Jack. Hands behind his back as though he had a regal air about him. Jack could only notice now that the man looked like a twisted reflection of himself. Thin limbs, a swallow tail coat... Jack shook his head, trying to ignore the observation. "I can give you what you want, just give me your hand." The stranger outstretched his arm out to Jack. He smirked with a cold stare. Pupils so tiny and black, it paled to the expressive wide sockets of Jack's. Yet they wouldn't look away from Jack's position. Shaking his head, Jack took some more steps back. He wasn't sure why he didn't just ignore him but the stare got to Jack. Tutting, the man in the swallowtail coat was just a few inches away. "For a man who loves fear, you're not really appreciating what I have to offer." "This is different. Not when I don't know who I'm dealing with." "True. Yet you're not listening. I can give you what you want with no consequences. Just trust me." Jack took back at the statement. Thinking back to all the times he tried to trust Lock, Shock, and Barrel. What if this was the same? Could he take this chance? "I don't know." Jack glanced down, hands turning into fists. The stranger's hand reached out again politely. "Just trust me." Within one silent minute, time slowed down, leaving separate images behind. Jack's body, stiff in the confrontation. Giving in after a while feeling longer than it really was. A shaky arm reaching out to the stranger. With uncertainty, taking the hand. Before he knew it, the shadows from the epithets and the hill stretched out to Jack. The pumpkin king tried to fight the man's grip by wrestling the arm free, but not even the soul robber could protect him. He tried to walk back to pry the hand off but the grinning stranger just stood there without even moving. Jack's eyes gazed as the shadows crawled up his body like hands, slithering up quickly to devour him. Skellington knew he couldn't escape this as he felt his body lower into the dirt, his sockets watching the grinning stranger stare down. Welcome to the shadows... Pal. To be continued...
11. Oh gosh, I feel like they'd do this.

13. Hi everyone I have been a huge fan of Don't Starve for years. I have recently gotten back into 3d modelling and decided to model Maxwell one of my favorite characters from the game. I still have work to do on the character with retopologizing, recreating hair and retexturing and detailing, But I wanted to ask for some constructive criticism from other fans of the game. I wanted to give him the feel him as a player character with more wrinkles, bit of a comb over and generally older feeling while giving him some of the proportions more appropriate to his puppet master form. So I wanted to ask what do you guys think about the proportions, colours, and overall feel of the character? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

(October, 20, 2016) Dont Darken Together Version: 1.6.8 Special thanks to rezecib, DrGrammar, Lumisteria, Indie-ana Jones/Mario384, ekoneko9, and Tiniflake. Also I give credit to Farxodor, which had files stolen from rezecib to make his MOD (Good going, mate). all gamers previously mentioned contributed on inspiring me to make my MOD. ----------------------------------------READ THIS---------------------------------------- Special thanks to SuperDavid from Klei Forums for supervising me during the making of this MOD. ----------------------------------------READ THIS---------------------------------------- Hi,
Darkaisa
here: Some official game updates have caused a disparity between characters PVP balance and in my opinion when Klei Entertainment releases an update nerfing or buffing a character in Don't Starve Together they execute with an overextension. A lot of details about some characters nerf or buffs were not welcome by the mayority of the gaming community, but I personally like every character's overall theme, so I took some steps to change these overextensions. I am interested in making the game more enjoyable by revising every character's attributes. I hope this MOD eventually becomes the player's "game retreat" instead of losing interest in the game by frustration, grindin, lack of friends, going to play another game, etc. I will try to keep working every character as I go, by updating this MOD on a frequent basis "At least once a year... Joking!". http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=778204671 http://forums.kleientertainment.com/files/file/1596-dont-darken-together/
Important Goals
Make the game more fun for players by adding increased survivavility and diversity for every character, in a global scale, to make the game more enjoyable Running had been added to the game. To run press LEFT SHIFT while moving. Be aware, running will raise your temperature and consume quite a lot of your hunger food reserves. (After all, you need a lot of energy to run). Use it sparingly or to escape from dangerous situations. Changelog: Version: 1.6.8 - Item stack has been doubled for almost all items - Update compatibility fix Version: 1.6.7 - Hot Fix Version: 1.6.6 - Hot Fix - Tumbleweeds have a chance of providing better items - Stalagmites have a chance of dropping gems - Wendy's sister (Abigail) is not stupid anymore. Her sister ghost will actually be useful and will follow the player instead of stay fighting the enemy when Wendy retreats. This will prevent unwanted deaths. Version: 1.6.5 - Bug Fixes - Shadows drain sanity, effectively canceling Maxwell's sanity regeneration over time if abilities are used beyond moderate potential - up to a noticeable sanity drain at maximun potential. Version: 1.6.0 - Added an expensive refining recipe for gears for all characters (You know, sometimes they're REALLY hard to find) - Running had been added to the game. To run press LEFT SHIFT while moving. Be aware, running will raise your temperature and consume quite a lot of your hunger food reserves. (After all, you need a lot of energy to run). Use it sparingly or to escape from dangerous situations. - Abigail will be smarter and should resist stronger attacks compensating her slow speed. - Maxwell total sanity penalties are reduced to make the player interested in other sanity and health sources to compensate for the sanity drain when using magic. Version: 1.5.92 - Adjusted shadow characters ingredients to prevent infinite shadow spawns Version: 1.5.91 - Bug Fixes Version: 1.5.90 - Updated MOD main goals, extended and organized the MOD road-map - Upgraded Codex versions allow you to use stronger magic: Codex Umbra II, and Codez Umbra III respectively - Codex Umbra II allows crafting of Nightmare fuel at the cost of some sanity and health, and create the shadow warrior - Codex Umbra III allows the creation of the expensive shadow knight - Shadow Duelists come in three tiers, with increasing cost and strength: Shadow Duelist = The crappy defender. They only serve as a distraction to escape danger Shadow Warrior = You can rely on them to protect you from monsters and aid you in combat against small enemies Shadow Knight = The expensive trusty companion to aid you in real combat, like PVP combat or bosses Version: 1.5.82 -Bug Fixes Version: 1.5.81 -Bug Fixes - Maxwell's "DARK MAGIC" creates a more diverse set of disadvantages to compensate for balance, in other words - a more diverse set of disadvantages for Maxwell instead of the current focus of fragility and battle inefficiency. 16. So, I just recently made my special someone enter the portal to the mysterious world of Science and Magic (After a few weeks of nagging) And she really fell in love with the art-style! She has set herself a goal to redraw all of the DS crew in her own realistic style with their Don't starvy traits. Here we one of many more drawings to come!

19. OML READ THE POST SKRUBLORDS Maxwell's lines change after you save her. He can tell the difference. His Adventure mode lines also change. Charlie, oh charlie. Maxwell escaping the throne had some bad consequences? Charlie is not one of Them Charlie is human. It is not her being that attacks them. It is her mind. They force her. Her being is banished to the tropical islands to rot forever Until... Fid messes up her name, Wilson arrives to save her! Then gets shanked Wilson searches for her, but only one man is rumoured to know of her whereabouts, and locked in a cage for all eternity, the key thrown to a stupid Dodo. Woodlegs. He has a map to her... but when he arrives? A flower was left, a rose (or some crap) The second he grabs it, whimpers are heard in the distance, and an amount of radio static. Wagstaff is trying to comfort Charlie, but fails, and when Woodlegs runs up to her? "STOP!" He is grabbed by shadow hands. He must go through 6 worlds to save his DamselInDistress She's locked in the BDSM Nightmare Throne Wagstaff is constantly tormented by screams from his radio. Why did she have to burn that factory? Why? Charlie is freed, but They are stronger. They want her back And they will do ANYTHING, to get her. TL;DR - READ IT SCRUB Charlie's perks and drawbacks. Nightmare Shadows attack her at night. Well, just one. Mr Skits wants his wife back. Her sanity drains at a double rate of normal at night, but she is used to Maxwellian evil flowers. One way or another, She will find the Magician. (Wagstaff is never seen again, instead disappearing, running away. Cue DST and he's made it through the portal. Through the Ages, he has seen some crap. He was beaten to hell and back. But why did the demon do it? FIND OUT NEXT TIME.) WILSON DIDN'T MAKE THE PORTAL. HE DIDN'T MAKE THE RADIO. HE REINVENTED WAGSTAFF'S CREATIONS. *Castawallace lies dying on an island.* One SW Character is auto-unlocked cus why not Dunno where this belongs, but you will love it anyway.
20. Hiya, I thought I'd share some retouched diorama things that Klei gave us and some more. It's mainly just 2D higher definition flowers, mushrooms and such, but also an evil beefalo Use it for anything - for your art. And have a blast if you decide to print and cut out the flowers! I'll probably do some more like sciece machine, tentacle, lake and frog if there's some time.
21. Not looking for anything long term, but if so it could be fun. Just need to distract myself with something for a while. basic idea: Max ends up getting booted off the throne, and though he's happy right off the bat, he's been dropped off in the dead of winter, and night is falling. But there's a light nearby, a chance. some stuff prolly happens. But I'll let whoever continue it. First though, I don't care much for whatever kinda rp you want to do story chat combination I don't care at the moment Here I go: Small fire, freezing, the huddling figure didn't want to admit that they were probably going to die to the freezing wind. Huddled in the small sweater which she had been brought here in... woken up by herself, alone, cold, hungry. It didn't help that she had to trod through what could be 4 feet of snow. Shoes already cold and soaked in the melting snow, which would then freeze again. She swore, what kind of sick... she shook the profanity from her mind and huddled closer to the fire even she was shocked she could start. Panic and fear did make it more urgent, so she could thank luck and emotion for that. (Reply or don't, bleh, this will be dumb.)
22. In light of recent events, @colonelsassacre took the liberty to cut Maxwell from proturbo-praestigiae.jpg. So now all over tumblr he's being Photoshopped into various images. It's quite amusing! Post said images here if you made one! Here's the cut out image! Thanks colonolsassacre!
23. Somewhere, in a world much like the one in Don't Starve lies characters who resemble the ones from the game we know and love. But past that appearance, almost nothing is the same. There personalities are opposite of the ones we know! (To an extent) Ask these characters a question! The ones you can talk to are: Wilson Willow Wolfgang Wendy WX78 Wickerbottom Woodie Wes Maxwell Sorry! No ROG characters. There will be references to ROG though. In fact, one character heavily relies on ROG logic. Please no direct shipping questions. (No 'Wilson! Go out with Willow' or 'Wolfgang! How is your love life with Wickerbottom', ect.) Relationships are okay though. (Ex. 'Wendy, how is your relationship with Maxwell?)
24. This isn't so much lore as it is a theory, a game theory of mine, but I think it still fits here. Feedback is appreciated. Whether it's a simple, "This is good." or, "I disagree with this because (list of legitimate reasons)." But please no, "dis is stupud an ur stupud" ok? No one likes that. From what I can tell of the William Carter puzzles, William accumulated debt and was being threatened by who ever he owed the debt too, perhaps loan sharks. He took a train to California to visit his brother and/or escape the lone sharks. However, before he got there, the train crashed and William went missing. Now let's look at the train wreck a bit closer, shall we? The cause of the wreck was a circus cart that had gotten stuck on the track. It crashed in the middle of the dessert, miles away from any civilization. In the chaos, potentially dangerous monkeys escaped. Because of all this, the only person to go missing (aka, William) was presumed dead. So a train crashes in the middle of the desert and the only person to go missing is the one who's being hunted by loan sharks? Seems a bit too convenient, doesn't it? Now one could look at the Strongman title in the circus poster and think, "It was Wolfgang. He did it, and Maxwell found out so he trapped him in the Don't Starve world." Perhaps, but don't you think if Maxwell found the guy who tried to kill him he would punish him a bit more harshly than the random strangers he's pulled in?Now, who can we think of that was punished harshly? Wes. And in the circus poster, who does the man who's balancing on the elephant look like? Wes. My theory is, the loan sharks caught wind of William trying to ride to California. So they contacted Wes, who ether worked for them or owned a debt, and told him to take care of it. Now Wes at this time was a bit more fit than he is now. You kind of have to be in order to balance on an elephant like that. Thus, he was able to find a way to sabotage the train and make sure William ended up in the desert somewhere. Maxwell found out somehow that Wes was behind it and punished him by trapping him in an invisible box. The box wasn't big enough for him to do anything, but it still kept him alive. Thus, Wes' mental and physical deteriorated to the point where it is now. *bows*
