  1. Turns out the distiller doesn't use polluted water, it makes it.
  2. Is there a maximum a liquid pump can move? I've got a long line and the liquid just stops mid pipe.
  3. Perhaps we can get more realistic pumps where you don't have to submerge the pump itself, but could have an intake line.
  4. Dang man, that's not bad at all. I wouldn't even consider it a problem. If it can hold pressure for that long then i would just consider is quarterly maintenance.

I think the air pressure for my setup is easier to maintain only because the dupes don't have to spend as much time in the room as yours, and my outside air pressure isn't too far off so the shift isn't as abrupt when they're going in and out. My whole base is rather open, there are no single tile corridors, all my ladder chutes are 2 spaces open, so air flow is very relaxed.

  7. What setups are you using, do you use insulated tiles? Insulated pipes? Abyssalite? I've got a decent small farm that has yielded some 99.9 results, but I have to to maintain a couple of wheezeworts inside in case it gets too cold, working with mealwood. If I don't use the wheezeworts it will get above 22 too soon and I won't make the minimum 80 for seeds. The incoming air is close to 20C and pressure is the easiest thing to maintain. I wish the gas valve would shut off completely at 0. Wonder if losing a few degrees from the doors opening or if insulated tiles and pipes aren't worth it and just use abyssalite.

Something about water serves as a heat sink I think, I saw a video where someone was trying to heat a small pool of water with batteries in a insulated room but the water never went above 30C while everything else went to scorching red. Scratch that, it's not a sink if the objects around it just continue to heat up. Some odd things to learn about I suppose.
  9. If I understand correctly the void was only meant to be small holes like geysers that you had to find.
  10. I think that a level of exploitative component will need to exist so long as the the environment lacks a geothermal constant. Perhaps their original intention to control heat was the voids, but since they've abandoned it they may be relying on artificial heat dumps that exist during points of transfer between buildings. I wish the devs would add descriptions to all the items that destroy heat.
  11. Well that seems fine, but until they remove the option I will continue to start my 3 dupes with 8+ cooking/learning/creativity. I had a thought that I haven't suggested that might be somewhat related: dupes based on Don't Starve characters that you could unearth after leaving the starting biome.

  13. With regards to the new agriculture components, if I don't see any mention of bonus from light can I assume that lamps are no longer relevant to farming?

  15. Does the invincibility default "alt + F7" not work currently? I'm trying to test some stuff but I keep having to deal with my people, basic needs.
