  1. I have 5 fertilizer makers in a sealed room with an air pump bottom right side of the room as natural gas collects there. The fert makers produce enough gas to power a gas generator which in turn powers the fert makers. I can get one air scrubber to convert the co2 from 3 gas generators comfortably into polluted water which goes straight into he fert machines with room to spare for more. All the things I mentioned are all linked together in some way on the same set up.
  2. Yeah you're right they must have changed it, it used to be 2.
  3. The only work around as of right now is to deconstruct and rebuild them. Messing around with the pipes won't help it has to be the hydroponics tiles.
  4. Any dupe with creativity higher than 2 will create master pieces.

  6. Also I noticed if you assign them jobs to do on the next cycle start while they are sleeping it will also interrupt their sleep.

  8. Gas permeable tiles work but if you want to cool your water they are not so good as they are hydrophobic. Yeah try using stronger materials like granite and obsidian.
  9. Yeah you can no longer grab stuff through those gaps you need a proper entrance.

  12. Those were my thoughts too.... Initially it was wired wrong but it took rebuilding the structure to rectify it. just like if you put the wrong liquid in your hydroponics farm tile you have to rebuild it but that's just coz the 'empty storage' button doesn't work dupes just ignore it.

  15. Gas pumps work fine for me you should probably go to the bug report section of the forums though you probably won't get much of a response here on the matter.
  16. Plus optimisations too they mentioned that in their last twitch stream.
  17. Just basically make sure the hot water coming in is using a water pressure valve and reduce it to say 3kg so the water gets cooled quicker as its in a smaller volume. Using super cooked hydrogen in gas pipes is the only way I know of doing it and I managed to get a system set up and working last night in a proper game not debug so I'm pretty happy with that.

  19. liquid pipes can only hold 10kg of water per tile. (thats why your pumps keep stopping you will need to split the pipes up) A filter can process 10kg of water per tile (adjustable of course as it's a filter)
  20. So I thought more about this idea and how it could play more than one role, someone mentioned material transfer from hard to reach places back to your base where most of it is needed. The idea I came up with is a pull and push system where you assign dupe to elevator that has a storage capacity (as well as dupe capacity) and at one end where certain materials are needed you check the box for drop off and required amount of what material and the dupe on the elevator will collect these resources from material rich areas (most likely storage containers near another elevator departure point) while he's ferrying people about. Edit: also this stuff can be locked behind advanced research or incorporated into the current one.
  21. Does anyone else think a willy wonker style elevator (can go up and down or side to side) would be a nice idea? Giving you an option for a way in and out of sealed rooms or bypassing a lot of ladder climbing through hazardous areas.

Yeah what ever form it comes in rocket elevator, glass tubes etc it would be really cool to be able to get our dupes where they're needed without spending half the day travelling back and forth. Also doesn't need to be a glass elevator I just used it as a reference the design could be more mechanical to fit the game aesthetics.
  24. For sure the means of travel ie rail, rockets or even teleportation and fuel (electricity or hydrogen 'combustion') are the variables and up for debate. The rail or track the elevators take should not be hindered by structures, gas/water pipes or cables.... Only the start and finish points need to be clear.
