  1. Would it be possible to implement some gravity based mechanics into the game. In most games people will excavate water and let it fall down into a reservoir below. I think the manipulation of elements and physics is the appeal of this game. How about having a water wheel generator, using pipes to pump water up and letting it fall again over the water wheel generator to produce electricity? Thoughts anyone?
  2. 1. Duplicated text, covering starvation instead of overheating STRINGS.DUPLICANTS.DEATHS.OVERHEATING.NAME Starvation Suggestion: Overheated 2. Duplicated text, covering starvation instead of overheating STRINGS.DUPLICANTS.DEATHS.OVERHEATING.DESCRIPTION {Target} has starved to death. Suggestion: {Target} has died to overheating. 3. Missing letter on saccharides Slime is a thick biomixture of algae, fungi, and mucopolysaccarides. It can be distilled into <style="solid">Algae</style> and is useful in some <style="oxygen">Oxygen</style> production processes. Suggestion: Slime is a thick biomixture of algae, fungi, and mucopolysaccharides. Adjustment to keep text in line with other tooltips: Oxygen is extremely low pressure or not present and will suffocate Duplicants Suggestion: Oxygen concentration is extremely low or not present and will suffocate Duplicants Examples: Oxygen concentration is high and allows Duplicants to breathe Oxygen concentration is sufficient and allows Duplicants to breathe Oxygen concentration is low and is difficult for Duplicants to breathe 5. Change of word, have to has A Duplicant have overheated Suggestion: A Duplicant has overheated 6. Missing word - as This Duplicant is stuffing their face a result of stress Suggestion: This Duplicant is stuffing their face as a result of stress 7. Delete the word "to" - if to forced to eat lower quality foods. Food Quality Expectation is the minimum quality of <style="food">Food</style> a Duplicant can tolerate eating. This Duplicant requires {0} or higher food, and will become <style="stress">Stressed</style> if to forced to eat lower quality foods. I feel like this text is a bit awkward/clunky and could do with a revision This Duplicant got so good at their job that they became bad at ladders Suggestion: This Duplicant got so good at their job that they became (scared of heights / far to reach places / high up places). 9. The formula for thermal conductivity is slightly wrong Heat can pass through the selected item at a rate of (W/m)/K Suggestion: Heat can pass through the selected item at a rate of (W/(m.K)) or (W/(mK)) 10. Issues with switches, photos attached for clarity: STRINGS.UI.UISIDESCREENS.THRESHOLD_SWITCH_SIDESCREEN.TITLE I believe the string above needs to be split up into two/three for the different types of switches. THERMO SWITCH - Automates switching <style="power">Power</style> grids on or off based on ambient <style="heat">Heat</style>. Suggestion: STRINGS.UI.UISIDESCREENS.TEMPERATURE_THRESHOLD_SWITCH_SIDESCREEN.TITLE Temperature Threshold ATMO SWITCH - Automates switching <style="power">Power</style> grids on or off based on ambient <style="gas">Gas Pressure</style>. Must be submerged in <style="liquid">Liquid</style>. Suggestion: STRINGS.UI.UISIDESCREENS.LIQUID_PRESSURE_THRESHOLD_SWITCH_SIDESCREEN.TITLE Pressure Threshold At the moment both pressure thresholds are tied to the amount of "stuff" in area where the switch existsm in grams/kilograms. I'm unsure if you plan on adding another variable for the actual pressure, pascals (Pa).
  3. 1. Specify Medical Cot to avoid confusion with Cot These Duplicants need to be rescued before they kick the bucket ---------- Duplicants must have an assigned Cot to be rescued Suggestion: These Duplicants need to be rescued before they kick the bucket ---------- Duplicants must have an assigned Medical Cot to be rescued 2.same as No.1. This Duplicant is near death! They need to be rescued quickly ---------- Duplicants must have an assigned Cot to be rescued Suggestion: This Duplicant is near death! Duplicants will demand better d ecor and accommodations with each skill level they gain Should be: Duplicants will demand better decor and accommodations with each skill level they gain
  4. Round 2 of potential string errors in the new Thermal Upgrade Patch. 1. effects vs affects. The construction materials are impacting the temperature ranges a building can withstand. Different construction materials have different effects on the temperature ranges a building can withstand Suggestion: Different construction materials have different affects on the temperature ranges a building can withstand 2. "a" super computer rather than "an". <style="research">Intermediate Research</style> is required to unlock improved technologies. It can be conducted at an <style="research">Super Computer</style>. Suggestion: <style="research">Intermediate Research</style> is required to unlock improved technologies. It can be conducted at a <style="research">Super Computer</style>. 3. "is" not needed. Make this colony is a meltdown-free zone! Suggestion: Make this colony a meltdown-free zone! 4."at" zero percent. Freshness ---------- <style="food">Food</style> items will become stale at fifty percent freshness, and will rot zero percent Suggestion: Freshness ---------- <style="food">Food</style> items will become stale at fifty percent freshness, and will rot at zero percent 5. "on" research stations Work research stations to unlock new technologies. Suggestion: Work on research stations to unlock new technologies. 6."Unsupported" misspelling Unspported Save File: {0} Save file version is v{1}.{2} but this build requires at least v{3}.{4} Suggestion: Unsupported Save File: {0} Save file version is v{1}.{2} but this build requires at least v{3}.{4} 7. Inconsistency - keep with Polluted water instead of "Dirty water" <style="liquid">Polluted Water</style> is a yucky substance that emits <style="gas">Polluted Oxygen</style> and can cause <style="disease">Disease</style> in your Duplicants. Small accidents can be cleaned up by clicking and dragging with the <color=#833A5FFF>MOP TOOL</color> <color=#F44A47>[M]</color>, while larger bodies may be worth filtering. Dirty water also <style="stress">Stresses</style> out any Duplicants that come into contact with it, so it is best removed quickly for your colony's safety. Plants - porous leaves maybe rather than skin. A fleshy, <style="heat">Cold</style>-dwelling plant. It removes ambient <style="heat">Heat</style> from the air by respiring through its porous skin. Suggestion: A fleshy, <style="heat">Cold</style>-dwelling plant. It removes ambient <style="heat">Heat</style> from the air by respiring through its porous leaves. 9. Suggestion: A fleshy plant that thrives in <style="heat">Cold</style> environments. It removes ambient <style="heat">Heat</style> from the air by respiring through its porous leaves. 10. Very minor suggestion if this is a movie reference quote. Some people just want to see the world burn. Suggestion: Some people just want to watch the world burn. 11. Submerge vs Submerse, various strings use one or the other. They seem to be completely interchangeable as far as I can tell. Might be worth sticking to one for consistency. Examples: Grows a single <style="plant">Plant</style> when sown with a <style="seed">Seed</style>. Must be submerged in <style="liquid">Liquid</style>. Can be used as floor tile. This plant must be fully submersed to grow
  5. I completed a UK translation for the the game, following the Translation Thread, using poedit. The translation created two files - a strings.po and a strings.mo. I added the strings.po to the correct game folder and the translation has appeared in game. However there seems to be a font size and style change occurring. I've attached screenshots of the original game and of the game with the strings.po file added to the OxygenNotIncluded\OxygenNotIncluded_Data\StreamingAssets\Mods folder. Game Screen - Original Game Screen - Translation Menu Screen - Original Menu Screen - Translation
  6. While going through the translation I noticed a couple of potential errors in the strings. Apologies if I have this wrong. 1.
