      Oxygen Not Included - Early Access Coming May 18   05/03/2017

      Oxygen Not Included Entering Early Access First off, we would like to extend a major thanks for the amazing community response to the Oxygen Not Included Alpha. When we released the game on the forums we'd hoped for a few dozen people to try it out and give feedback, but instead over a hundred thousand of you played the game. This was the best surprise we could have received. We're now excited to announce that Oxygen Not Included will be entering Steam Early Access on May 18th. It will cost $24.99, and anyone who owns an existing Klei game on Steam will receive a 20% loyalty discount. Players who purchased Oxygen Not Included in Alpha will not need to purchase the game again. Upcoming Agricultural Upgrade Additionally, we have been working with a handful of dedicated members of the community over the last few weeks to test an experimental build branch in preparation for Early Access. These players have been working with us to provide feedback on the new Agricultural Update content, and we're happy to say it's now in a place where we are ready to share with you all.   1. I figured out how to fix the issue.
  2. I found the fix for this issue.
  3. I finally figured it out. It has nothing to do with incoming water. You can't have a turn in the OUTGOING pipe first thing, you have to make it come straight out.
  4. I tried it in the image and it didn't work, but now they take1.5 second showers instead of 1 second showers. They don't even use up a whole glob of water in that amount of time. Oh, actually they use 2, but it's really delayed. There's something definitely wrong with the shower. I even tried a straight shot, then I tried a straight shot with a valve, but you can't increase pressure beyond the max 10kg.
  5. Ok, well that fixed the problem on my last colony, but now I have a dedicated pump to a single shower and they still only use it for 1 second. The plumbing all works, but the guys just run off before they're done. Now my guys can't get anything done unless I take the shower offline...

  7. Following this thread because my guys just started doing this with the new may 15th-ish expanded food update. They've never done this before. I just found out what the problem was. I put the shower on the water pipe line BEFORE the bathrooms. If you have the shower on AFTER (at the end of the water incoming pipe), they won't take full showers. In the attached image, the old shower (left) only gave 1 second showers. The new shower (right) gives full showers. The new water is coming from the right of the screen and going left. Strange because I have hydroponic pots before the shower. Unless someone needed to use the bathroom when someone was taking a shower, the water pressure should be constant max, but it's not - so this is a bug. You could add a little mob called a shower bug like a snake that would come out of the pipes every once and a while, that would be freakin' creepy.
  8. My guy runs and builds one pipe, then runs to the shower for 1 sec runs to build 1 section of pipe and takes another 1 second shower. He has a lot of pipe to make, so he'll be taking a lot of showers. He's only touching pure oxygen and no water between here and there. That's with pipes being 9 priority.
  9. Nope, biodistillers are down the line and they're running max speed, no backup polluted water in the system.
  10. Yea, I have no idea why my shower isn't working anymore (since the new update) either. They hop in for 1 whole second then run off. They're still grimy.
  11. Cycle 11 and my dudes are freaking out with 71 stress. The 2 massage tables at 9 priority and have power have never been used. CO2 is creeping up and there is no food in the ration box. I lived longer my first try without knowing anything haha. My electrolyzer is being constructed, but I think it's a little too late. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me? (Not complaining, just wondering)
  12. The only thing I made them do besides dig underwater a little bit was clean the bathroom for fertilizer that I couldn't even use on the plants I started.
  13. The binge eater was at 50% the beginning of day 10 and his decor need was -20... I have no idea how he got so high so fast. The last colonist died on day 16. I only had 1 section of oxygen to dig into, other than that I blocked off my 4 starting rooms I make and expand down from there. He must have been the only one digging underwater because he was the highest. No pollution at all in my base. He ate everything in my base in 2 days before my plants even matured.
  14. They were uppity little pricks despite the 5 paintings above their beds. Come to think of it, waterboarding shouldn't be done until the second week at the very earliest...
  15. Haha, yea I didn't have very many mealwood seeds at the start. It was the binge eater that lived the longest. And I also had a mouth-breather... That was a very bad mix. I didn't think it would have been that big of a problem, but not being able to receive massages for 10 days was the match that lit that bonfire.
  16. Haha. I modified the job listing at the very beginning. That's just messed up. Why would that even be an option to disable? Why does it take a tinkering skill to receive a massage? It makes no sense at all. Well, my dudes still starved in the end.

I came across this "bug", so I came looking to give some ideas to the devs. My dudes will literally be stuck forever running to an infinite drip taking 1000g each time, doing it fifty times for 2 days just to make a single liceloaf bar. I literally can't make food bars until I trash my hydroponics bay. Ideally, the dupe should go to the nearest water source that has greater than or equal to the amount of water the target needs OR greater than or equal to the amount of water he can carry. Or At the very least, he can pick up the 1000g and continue looking for water until he is full or has enough. Or Put a kitchen sink or spicket in the game to have fresh water near a location they can pull from on their own.
  18. The backpack thing is annoying... I'm sure it's already been posted about several times. On top of that, when you use items, it takes it out of the first slot you have it in, not the stack that has the lower amount. Example: You have 43 grass and 22 wood (full stacks of grass and wood plus 3 and 2). You build a fire. Now, you have a stack of 38 grass, 3 grass, 18 wood, and 2 wood. Now I have to play inventory nazi again, just like the backpack problem. It would be nice if you threw in something that used up items from the lowest stack first. When you pick up items when your inventory is full, it goes to your mouse/action slot. It would also be nice if you could continue to pick up the same items and instead of throwing them around to add them to your mouse/action slot. I would really like the tools to actually "swap" locations. Right now when you right click (or hit the number) it puts that tool in your hand - and the tool that was in your hand goes into the first available slot instead of the slot that the other tool came out of. Enjoying the game, keep up the good work. And the football helmet should go under armor.
  19. day 120 - map fully explored - all graves dug - all items built - 2 meat effigies and plenty of trimmings starting to get careless trying to unlock the other characters... maybe they don't unlock until after the game ends.
