Newly purchased Critter skins aren't eligible when i'm near the Critter Den.

You'll need to relaunch the game to get an inventory sync.

Klei has their own item server system that also syncs with Steam's item inventory system or something the other, and in the end when the game launches/first logs in an inventory sync is forced.

I've tried that several times,but i solved it by my own.I had to create a new world,head to the critter tab and select the skin from there.Then i can go back to my previous game and the skin will be unswitchable to default.Thanks for the tip anyways.

It sounds like the person is unable to switch skins at the critter nest in their world, in which case I'd suggest the OP upload their world so that Klei might be able to take a poke to see why it's broken on a per-map basis.
