Game doesnt even start, says not working.

I bought Dont starve together for me and a friend today, but it straight up doesnt start for him, it just says "dontstarve_steam.exe is not working" he tried everything but we cant find any solution online.. please help ?

Please see our Don't Starve Together Troubleshooting guide for resolutions to just about every issue that won't allow you to play the game. Should the issue persist, please provide your system specs/DxDiag.txt and client_log.txt files and we will investigate further.
